Frerard - Exhaustion

Prompt: Character A isn't taking care of themself and Character B decides that it might be time for a break, not knowing Character A is on the verge of regressing from exhaustion

Placed in Revenge era after Gerard got clean.

Gerard Way is a little. It's not something anyone knew, he kept it hidden. It had used to be his ritual after he got clean to at least get half an hour of little time in before bed, but recently he had been so busy that there was no time. Gerard was exhausted. They were on tour and every night was a show, hang out with the other bands, stay up till 3 am writing lyrics or drawing, then crash in the bunks. There had been many times where Gerard had almost slipped purely out of stress but he kept it contained. It was rounding the second week of tour and Gerard was really slacking. His mind working over time and his severe lack of sleep led the rockstar to look half dead most days, even without the makeup. His hair was greasier then normal and he looked lie he might pass out any second. 

Frank had noticed his best friends exhaustion, so had the rest of the band and tour managers. There was no doubt that the press and fans noticed it too. Frank had decided enough was enough after the show that day so when it was just the two on the bus he confronted him. 

Gerards POV:

We had just finished a show and the rest of the bad decided to help pack up. I figured i could finally use this 30 minutes to get some little time in. I got to the bus already feeling myself regress a little bit, i just had to make it to my bunk. I opened the tour bus door and walked inside only to see Frank on the couches. Shoot.

"Gerard, hey, i wanted to talk to you." Frank looked up from his phone to me. Well there goes little time. I forced myself to be big and sat down on the couch across from him, playing with my fingers. 

"So, Gee, how are you?" not good.  I wanted to breakdown and cry, sit in my bunk cuddling a stuffed animal i was given to by a fan, fall asleep sucking on the black and red pacifier i smuggled into my bunk. 

"Fine. Why?" Frank frowned at my response.

"Gerard you're exhausted, i really think you need a break. We can watch a movie and eat snacks if you want but you need a break, this isn't healthy. You look like you're about to pass out from total exhaustion." He was right, i guess. 

I felt tears spring in my eyes, my regression catching up to me. No no no no no, not now. Not in front of Frank. 

Franks POV:

When i finished talking i saw Gerard tear up. Well fuck i didn't mean to make him cry-

"D-dada..." Gerard whimpered as he curled up on the couch and buried his head in his hands. 

What? 

"W-what Gee?" I asked softly, I didn't want to scare him into crying harder despite how confused i was. 

Gee cried harder, i didn't want that. But he then ran to the bunk area, i'm guessing to his bunk. 

I followed him shortly after to check on him, and opened his bunk to find him cuddled up with a stuffed animal and a pacifier in his mouth. I quickly took my phone up and googled why he would be doing this, just to get some kind of understanding on my best friend called me dada, and is now sucking on a pacifier. I climbed into the bunk after taking my phone out and instinctually started combing my hand through his hair.

Age regression. Huh. I think i get it?

I tapped his shoulder and he looked up at me with teary eyes. "Hey Geebear, can i ask how old you are?" I tried to talk as softly and sweetly as i could to him. 

Gee sniffled and whispered his response. "M'free". Okay, 3 years old, that... Makes sense?

"Okay buddy, do you wanna cuddle in the back room and watch some cartoons?" I asked, wiping a strand of hair from his face. He nodded and wiped his eyes before reaching his arms out like he wanted me to pick him up. Ok then..

I picked him up and grabbed the stuffed animal and his blanket and went to the back room. I plopped him on the couch and grabbed the remote putting on a random Disney movie and sitting next to him. He immediately crawled closer to me and cuddled up into my side and i smiled a little. This is actually really adorable.
