An hour of horror crept by, we remained silent in the pitch-dark, I knew the worry in my stomach wouldn't fade anytime soon, after hearing the blood-chilling screams and shrieks outside.
I couldn't process much since I was already frantically trieing to stay calm and struggling to remind myself this wasn't a nightmare, but it felt like the sort that gets you lunging out of you'r bed and heaving for breath at four in the morning.
Praying mom and dad where safe, I pondered about what they would be doing, my emotions spoke out in tears, no. No sign of weakness.
