Attack

A few weeks after the incident

I had woken up once again in a lonely house. I had decided that since I actually had one that I was paying for, I should probably use it. James had decided reluctantly that it was fine for me to live on my own, however it didn't stop him from asking if I would be okay.

I had fixed up the place quite well actually. The rubbish walls were now different shades. My kitchen was a dark red/maroon with paintings of lighthouses on the walls. The floor was hardwood but tinted a darker shade of hazel. It brought out the walls more.
My bedroom was a light sea blue. I reminded me of the ocean. I would picture myself being there, smelling the salty air while seagulls called in the distance. It was peaceful. That is until I remembered that peace was never an option.

After a while, I decided to head over to James's house. I normally went there every day of so, just wanting to see him. It made me feel much better and less stressed about life.
He eagerly pulled the door open as I entered, wrapping his arms around me.

"Mornin'!" I said cheerfully.
"Good morning! " He chirped back. I was so happy to see him better. He walked me over to the couch, patting the seat next to him.

"Speak" He demanded playfully. This caused me to giggle as he attempted bit deep voice and failed. I
"Your voice is too squeaky love. You will always fail." He snorted at my comment.
"I can't argue with that." He laughed.

We sat back and just chilled for what seemed like the longest time. I always enjoyed his company. I just hoped he felt the same way.

His arms slowly slid around my waist. I wasn't sure how to react, but I couldn't help but blush. I smiled.
His breath hitched, like he was going to ask something that made him uneasy. Oh God, this made me anxious.
Was he going to say he wanted to just be friends?
What were we anyway?
Technically we weren't dating. That made things worse.

"Y/n"? He asked, not looking at me.
" Yes...? " I called back nervously. I shook my head, probably confusing him.
"What are we?" My heart blew up.

Yeah buttnuggets I'm leaving you on a cliffhanger. Sorry about the extremely short chapter, I just wanted to get something out to yall. I'm feeling pretty bad, so don't expect too much this week. I do apologize. I want to say, I am thinking about a face reveal... I'm not sure how you guys are going to react to my atrocious face, however I'm sure it won't be horrible. I trust you guys to support me just like you have been. I really appreciate you all so much and I want to do so much for all of you and I have no idea what to do!! If I could just meet you all and get to know all of you I would be the happiest person in the entire world. Words cannot express just how giddy I feel when one of you votes or comments or adds this book to a list. It makes me so happy and I thank you all so much!!! ~Tori
