JUNG WHEEIN
"What brings you here again?" Wheein heard Yong Sun's voice ask.
Again? Is it the moving guys? Wheein pondered. Maybe the guys left something so she went to the room she shared with Hyejin to look for something but found nothing out of sorts. It was only their things in the room. So, she left the room again, by this time she heard Byul's annoyed voice.
"I don't think that'll be necessary." The tone was so icy that Wheein had an imaginary chill run down her spine. Oh, I think unnie is quite mad. Wheein decided to look at the situation outside. She made her way to the apartment's entrance and saw the door opened with Byul standing at the doorway. She looked past Byul and saw Yong Sun and Hyejin standing quietly with nervousness evident on their faces.
Who is this visitor and why is everyone so tense? Wheein then coughed and made her presence known. "What's everybody doing here? I though Yong Sun unnie and Hyejin are leaving?" she asked.
Nobody made an effort to look at her but Byul answered in a low voice. "They are. They just got caught up."
Wheein went closer to the site and peeked through Byul's shoulder. Oh. Okay. There she saw a timid Yooah looking at Byul wistfully. "Hi, Yooah, whatcha doing here?" she asked.
"I was thinking maybe you guys needed help in cleaning up? I have nothing to do today." Yooah answered.
"I told you, that won't be necessary." Byul spat at the girl which made Yooah flinch.
Wheein gave Byul a little pat on her shoulder which made the older girl look at her. She gave her the 'chill-unnie' look and smiled at Yooah. "Thanks for the offer, Yooah, but we can manage." She turned to look at Yong Sun and Hyejin who were still frozen on their tracks. "Unnie, you better get going." She reminded them. Yong Sun looked at Wheein and Wheein nodded back at her. I can handle this. Yong Sun seemed to have understood the message and bid them goodbye and left.
"Unnie, can you start tidying the boxes in the living room?" Wheein requested of Byul.
Byul glared at Wheein but Wheein only returned the look at her. After a few seconds of staring war, Byul sighed in defeat and obliged at Wheein. As soon as Byul left her alone with Yooah, Wheein walked out and closed the door behind her.
"You see, Yooah, unnie is not really a people person." Wheein said that as an excuse. Byul was definitely a people person. A lot of other trainees come up to her for advices and look up to her skills. "It's not a good idea to continue pressing yourself onto her."
"I was just trying to help, unnie..." Yooah said quietly. "Plus, I really like Byul sunbaenim. I like her so much."
Wheein winced at the clinging tone Yooah used. "Look, you're still new to this business, but Byul unnie is not." She sighed. "All us four had our own struggles in life, and we struggled more as we train more. We've shed blood, sweat, and tears during training and it's... It's just not that easy, Yooah. We're now nearing the first goal we've all been dreaming our whole trainee lives, and maybe even before that, and a scandal or an issue is not exactly what we want right now."
