Chapter 16

KIM YONGSUN

Damn it, Yongsun. How could let something like that slip your mouth?! She smacked her mouth a few times, lightly, because it embarrasses her that she told Byul she wanted to live a long time with her.

Gosh! I hope she doesn't think I'm weird for wanting to live with her for a long time. I mean, we are just friends after all... Yongsun sighed. That's right, we're just friends. Her shoulders slumped. She had eventually reached the ground floor after running out of her wits, leaving Byul on the staircase.

"What's with the long face, Yong?" an arm draped around her shoulders and Byul came into view with a soft smile. "What's the problem?"

Yongsun smiled at Byul. She liked this about her; she was always playful but when it comes to serious matters, Byul would always try to listen well.

"Nothing. Come on, let's go home." Yongsun grabs Byul's hand.

Byul intertwined their fingers naturally, and Yongsun's heart started beating wildly in her chest. She squirmed to get her hand out of Byul's but the other girl just held on tighter, throwing her a playful smile.

"Stop squirming, Yong." She says. Then, something seems to come to her mind. "I knew I was forgetting something."

Byul lets go of Yongsun's hand and fished through her pockets. When she takes her hand out, it held a silver bracelet, similar to what Byul had around her wrist, but with a sun as a charm. Yongsun's eyes widened as she touched the dainty jewelry.

"It's so cute, Byul!" she exclaimed.

Byul chuckled. "Good. Because it's for you."

Yongsun froze. "For me?"

Byul nods. She held Yongsun by the wrist and told her to hold it in place midair. Byul took the pleasure of putting the bracelet on Yongsun's left wrist. She smiled when she was done.

"Looks good on you." then she shows Yongsun her wrist with her own bracelet. "Now, we're matching." She wiggled her eyebrows playfully at Yongsun.

Yongsun's eyes started to water because she felt so touched.

"Why did you give me this?" she asks Byul.

"I know you liked my bracelet, so I thought why not give you a similar looking one that fits you." she points at the sun charm. "Remember when I told you how 'Solar' fits you?" she smiled at Yongsun again.

Yongsun looks at the bracelet again, this time looking at it in a different perspective. It somehow looks like a couple thing in my eyes. She shook her head a bit.
