The Order of Jade

Chapter 6 - The Big One

After meeting the rest of the men Curtis returned to his quarters and waited there until the troops left for battle.

It was finally time.....the platoon chosen for the attack was ready to leave the kingdom, and Curtis had almost completed his mission.
The young general had stood outside to deliver a speech to the men.

"My friends, it is with great honour that you have been selected to fight in this battle, if what that former Red knight said was is true, then this mission is very important indeed, don't let those thugs scare you, you'll only make yourselves look weak." The general stated, as the platoons commander lead the march to the base.

The troops had left and Curtis waited for the best time to sneak out of the kingdom so he could meet up with his team and watch the battle take place, the troops were scheduled to arrive there in 5 hours, so he decided he would sneak out an hour after they left just do he wouldn't be seen by anyone, as there was a crowd when the general made his speech.
And so he left, he ran as fast as he could to the designated location of the camp, he looked everywhere and found the rest of the order.

"Curtis, your just in time, the attack has already begun." Said Kirin, as Curtis watched the attack.
From where they were standing you could see the machine, a contraption that the order never thought was possible in their time, it was just like the other contraptions they had destroyed but this one, was hundreds of times bigger, it looked like it could wipe out planets at its size, striking fear into the order when they just looked at it. But they soon saw a fire, and that fire soon consumed the whole machine, it went from colossal beast, to nothing but a blaze in the middle of a mediocre excuse for a fortress.

The men were mad with joy, they had done it, the Red Knights were finally finished, and the threat of them taking over the world with their numbers was dead. Or so they thought.....

"We have fulfilled our destiny's, now we can die in peace." Bjorik said with happiness, and the men agreed, they thought could find solace with the Vikings, and never have to worry about the Red Knights again.

But then thy heard shouting, and hundreds of Red Knights came out from the trees behind them, outnumbering them at least 10 to 1, they had no choice but to surrender.

"Drop your weapons and get on the ground!!" The Red Knight shouted, and he men had no options but to surrender.

"You have been thorns in our side for too long, now you will pay for what you have done." The Red Knight threatened as they stood them up and blindfolded them.

"Now we're screwed." Shouted Curtis with frustration.

"The rumours were incomplete, this isn't the main ba........." Kirin tried to explain as he was blindfolded and knocked out.

"Kirin? KIRIN" Valor shouted in fear of his friends lives.

"Your in for a hell of a journey......" the Red Knight probed.......
