The men spent another 5 years living at the village, Markus cemented his place as leader, and the village was growing faster than anyone could have imagined. But the men had other things to do, and their services were needed elsewhere. Curtis didn't really want to leave after all this time, but he knew that he was meant to be with the order, and couldn't abandon them ever. The men spoke to Markus before they left.
"Markus, I hope you live a good life, and I hope that you keep winning the tournaments, you are truly a great leader, these people need you." Valor said to Markus. Markus then shook all of their hands and thanked them.
"Thank you my friends, you have saved the lives of everyone in the village, even mine, you are welcome to return anytime, we'll be here." Markus said with honour, as the men walked away into the distance. Curtis looked back before they left, he was holding in his tears, and knowing Curtis he would never let his tears fall.
"Come of Curtis, they'll be fine." Kirin told him, and Curtis turned around and fixed smiled at him, knowing that he didn't want to leave. After a few minutes of standing there, Curtis finally left.
"Alright, let's go." Curtis said to the men, his voice stumbling in sadness. The men all felt sorry for him, seeing their friend go through this unhappiness. But they went, and changed the subject as soon as they could.
"So guys, where do you want to go now?" Kirin asked. And Valor stopped to speak to the men.
"I got word from some of the explorers that there is a group of 'monsters' near the Caran forests, let's go there a check things out, see if there's anything we can help out with." Valor explained, and the men nodded, finally getting to do something else other than fight wars. As they walked they had questions about these 'monsters'.
"What do you mean by monsters, some sort of deadly creatures that are destroying civilisations?" Bjorik asked in confusion.
"I don't really know, I do know that there are some locals there, if we speak to them they can tell us what they think the saw and we can go from there." Valor explained with uncertainty. This was making Kirin think twice about this.
"Wait." He said as he stopped the men. "Your telling me we are going from things people thought they saw, it could have been a bear, or a wolf for all we know, they can't possibly be monsters!!" Kirin shouted in frustration, to the disgust of Valor.
"Kirin, Im not going to tolerate your nonsense, if you want to leave the order and go your own way then be my guest, BECAUSE WE ARE NOT WAISTING OUR IMMORTALITY LIVING OUR DAYS IN A TINY HUT, so get yourself together, and stop rebelling against us!!" Valor shouted, fed up of Kirins objections to his plans, that shit him up, however now 2 of the order were now in a bad mood.
The men stopped at a settlement and collected some horses, they were told by the locals there that the place they were seeking was far away and would take weeks to get there on foot. And after one week of travelling on horse, they finally made it, the great forests of Caran.
"This place is magnificent." Curtis stated sounding like he had cheered up since he left the village.
The other men agreed. The forests would go on as far as the eye could seen, and the water falls made the place so relaxing to walk through, the birds chirped and sang in the tree above you, and the water form the rivers was clearer than air. And right in the middle of it, an increasingly advanced group of people, known as the Caranians.
"I think I'm going to enjoy this place........" Curtis said, as the men walked over to the city.
When they entered they saw hundred of people there, market filled with the freshest food known to man, people playing music on the sidewalk, the place was incredible. They were then greeted by a tall, slim and very attractive lady, with blond hair and a cream coloured dress, and she caught the eye of Valor."Welcome to Caran, your the Order of Jade aren't you?" Bjorik was about to answer before being cut off by Valor.
"Yes we are, what is your name?" Valor asked interrupting him.
"Oh I'm Lisa, and you are." She replied, and Bjorik once again tried to answer and Valor cut him off again.
"I'm Valor." He answered as he kissed her hand."These are my friends Kirin, Curtis and Bjorik." He said as he pointed each one of them out.
"Well then, would you like me to show you a place where you can stay, I assume that you have something to do here since you've arrived?" She asked as Valor walked forward with her, with the men following them behind.
"What the hells wrong with Valor?" Curtis asked feeling so confused as to why Valor was cutting Bjorik offf.
"He likes her that's what, his personality may not change, but how he's gonna act is still to be determined." Kirin told Curtis.
Valor was known to be a serious man, that's one of the reasons he was promoted to commander by the Jade creature. He did have a family in the kingdom but none of the men knew about what happens to them, it was a mystery.
"Let's just hope he doesn't lose his integrity, we need a man with his skills with us." Bjorik explained, laughing a bit.
Could Valor be the first one of the order to find a partner after leaving the kingdom?
