I woke up that morning to the sun blasting in my face when my alarm clock went off I turned to the side to turn it off and saw a note beside my lamp I studied it a bit closer until I had detected it was written by nick,
dear kat,
I just wrote this note to let you know that I had to go back to shield early this morning I know you hate it when I just leave so I thought I would write you a note also I am able to make it to your birthday dinner although I do still find it odd that you have the dinner the day after your birthday but any way a few hours before you start getting ready I am going to come round early with the avengers so you can meet them and I hope this is okay with you but Nat invited them to your dinner. I hope you had a wonderful day yesterday also your real gift is on the fire place let me know if you like it when I come round

i smiled after reading the note and ran downstairs to find the gift that was left for me, I found a medium sized box on the fire place, I lifted it carefully and put it on the floor to open. just then Nat and Clint walked in,
"what's that Kat" Natasha asked curiously
"a gift that nick left me" I quickly replied
I slowly opened the box to reveal a beautiful pair of knee high boots I instantly fell in love with them and knew I had to wear them for my birthday dinner
"oh my goodness Nat look how cute these are"
"I want em" Natasha said
"umm no these weren't hand me downs which there for means that these are mine" I replied quickly holding the grey pair of boots close to my chest
after having breakfast together I took my boots upstairs so i could start getting ready for the dinner later on as even though my make up may look simple there is a lot that goes into it.
i took out my clothes for the day (pic at the top^^^^^^^)
i placed them on my bed in a neat fashion then went to take a shower I asked my Alexa to put on some tunes for me after the first song my favourite lullaby came on (sleepsong from the secret garden) I began to sing along to it I get quite shy when I sing in front of people I tend to be scared of there opinions

after I finished I went downstairs I shouted to natasha
"sis are you ready to get started" I said walking into the kitchen to make myself a brew while waiting for natasha to answer me
"nat I said......" I turned around to see all the avengers standing there but one person caught my eye in particular this was the first moment that his baby blues met her dangerous greens after all the introductions kat and steve hit it of instantly
"katiana"
"yeah"
"where did that big scar come from on your leg" he asked out of curiosity
"I got stabbed in the red room trying to save my sister" she said sadly reminiscing that horrible day
"omg I'm so sorry katiana I shouldn't have said that oh I am such a bad person and its your birthday dinner day" he said looking down at his feet
katiana lifted his chin with her hand and said to him softly it was okay they gazed at each other for quite sometime before Natasha interrupted
"hey rogers if you are finished flirting with my sister then it would be much appreciated"
steve blushed madly but stepped out of the way so nat could start on her make up he went of to make her a brew

after her makeup was finished Natasha got started on doing her hair which turned out absolutely amazing Steve brought the girls a cup of tea each and sat and chatted with katiana while Natasha was doing this they were laughing a lot which cause Natasha to moan and groan when she couldn't stay still

after she was done she walked with Steve to her room where he sat on her bed and chatted to her while she went in the bathroom to get changed when she came out (wearing the outfit at the top) he lost it his mouth was gaping open him not even realising she chuckled and took his hand and dragged him downstairs where everyone was now doing the same thing Steve was doing a few moments ago
"oh god i knew it was to much im gonna go change" katiana said before steve grabbed her arm
"no its okay you look beautiful you don't need to change" he said as she started into his baby blues and his only he took her hand in reassurance he opened the door for her and she looked out she hadn't seen this in 12 years she was like Steve when he came out of the ice he lead her to the car with all the avengers, katiana was fascinated with her surroundings never had she seen anything so beautiful.
