As we both finally arrived at Dehra station. A man approached us, hurriedly, and embraced my grandma (daadi). Then I got to know he's her brother. He hugged me as well. He told us that he would take us home.
As we sat in his car he told daadi that he has a surprise for her. Daadi asked smiling at him curiously. Then he with a wider smile told us that he had fixed his grand son's wedding date finally and that he was throwing a party that night for daadi to meet the bride to be. Daadi smiled with twinkling eyes as if to say that she couldn't wait to meet her. That meant she had known that there would be a wedding at her brother's house and I had come there to actually attend a wedding and not for just a 'trip'. I was taken aback for a second but then I realized that it would be actually great cuz I had not been to any relative's wedding in years. She looked at me with a grinning face, said,"you'll be happy to meet Shivin. You haven't met this cousin of yours since when you were little." I didn't even remember his name but anyway it would be good I thought.
I looked out of the window to feel the cool breeze over my face. It's actually a delight to be on the hills in the months of late summers. Many good experiences awaited me I thought. The greenery, the tall trees filling the narrow roads made me a bit more alive in the moment. I'd started envying all the people who had the privilege to actually live here forever.
Soon we reached daadi's brother's house. It was decorated with fairy lights and marigolds. As we walked inside few people whom I hadn't known came to greet my daadi with a Namaste and also shook hands with me. With a warm welcome we entered the house and my grandma told me that she would introduce me to every one at the party. So before that I wanted to get some sleep. Someone showed me a guest room where I threw my luggage and laid on the bed.
After an hour or so I woke up. It was 6pm already. So I jumped and stood. I thought I should get ready so I'd started unpacking my suitcase searching for suitable clothes. Then I ended up searching for my charger cuz my phone died. I soon realized I'd left it at home and so I rushed out of the room to borrow it from someone when suddenly, I bumped into some guy...
