[season one, episode ten]
--
Amidst the usual chaos in New Orleans, Davina had found it a good idea to go missing and put everyone on edge in the process.
Neither Marcel or Klaus were happy about it, considering she was the most powerful witch in town and she was missing.
"You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to know the obvious. Our secret weapon has escaped." Klaus stated, looking over at Marcel, who was pacing the room as Lily sat on the sofa. When they found out Davina was missing, she wanted to help them find her, worried the teen was in danger.
"She wouldn't just leave. She knows the witches want her back." Marcel replied, shaking his head as Elijah walked in the room, joining their conversation.
"Her violin is missing. She may have left of her own volition." Elijah stated, looking at Marcel as he spoke, who turned to face him quickly.
"What did you say to her in the attic?" Marcel asked, an accusatory tone in his voice. "She lied to my face so she could stay up there thinking that you'd help her control her magic. How do we know that you didn't take her?" He added, causing Lily to scoff slightly, standing from the couch.
"Seriously, Marcel? Throwing the blame at people isn't going to help anyone." Lily stated, becoming slightly defensive towards him.
"Well, how am I supposed to know who to trust here?" Marcel asked, glancing over his shoulder at Lily, before Elijah interrupted them.
"I have no idea where Davina is or why she ran away. Can I suggest you take a step back?" Elijah replied, his voice firm as he spoke to Marcel.
Marcel hesitated, but turned around, walking back over to Lily and Klaus.
"I can assure you, I have absolutely no desire to see that child come into harm's way. She's suffered enough with this harvest ritual nonsense." Elijah stated, crossing his arms as he looked at Marcel.
"That child, to whom you refer so affectionately, is the most powerful witch in New Orleans. If she's fled, what's to stop her from destroying us. In fact, destroying all we've worked for?" Klaus asked, causing Elijah's gaze to shift towards him. "No, if she's not a friend to this family, then she is our enemy." He added, his voice lowering slightly.
"She is a friend, Klaus." Marcel stated firmly, not wanting anything to happen to Davina because of Klaus.
"Well, let's hope so. Lucky for you, I know how to get her back." Klaus replied, causing Lily to raise her eyebrows, turning to face the Original.
"And how do you plan on doing that, exactly?" Lily asked, causing Klaus to smirk over at her before heading towards the door.
"Follow my lead." Klaus stated simply, leaving the room quickly. Lily and Marcel were about to follow after him, but Elijah stopped them before they could get to the doorway.
"You know how Niklaus operates. If he perceives a threat, he can become quite ruthless. This would not bode well for Davina." Elijah explained, glancing down at Lily as he spoke to Marcel.
"I'm not gonna let anybody lay a finger on her." Marcel replied, a firm tone in his voice as he spoke.
"Nor will I." Elijah stated simply, which slightly surprised both Marcel and Lily, since they figured he didn't care much about what happened to her.
So, they went to the festival that night in hopes of stumbling upon Davina.
"Kieran is gonna call me first if he hears anything." Marcel stated, glancing between Elijah and Lily, who were standing beside him on the crowded street.
