[season one, episode thirteen]

--

The next couple of days were filled with multiple surprises, as usual.

A powerful witch, Papa Tunde, had come back to life. Apparently, he had known Elijah and Klaus in the past, which is why they were so serious about taking him down. Elijah insisted that Lily did not insert herself into the situation, considering what the witch was capable of.

But, merely a day later, they found out that Papa Tunde had been murdered by someone. This freaked everyone out, considering they thought he was the most powerful witch. Clearly, there was someone out there that was even more powerful than him.

That was the final straw for Elijah, and he ordered Rebekah to take Lily and Hayley somewhere safe.

So, Rebekah drove Lily and Hayley out to the plantation for the night. She didn't want to be a nanny for the two, because she knew they could handle themselves.

"I thought I was going to have to drag you both to the plantation kicking and screaming." Rebekah commented as they got out of the car, walking up the driveway to the familiar house.

"Considering how serious Elijah was about this, I wouldn't dare try and cross him." Lily replied, laughing slightly as she thought back to how protective and stern Elijah had been when he told Lily to go with Rebekah. She knew he was just trying to protect her, but she figured he could reel it in a little sometimes.

"Tonight's a full moon." Hayley cut in, looking between the two girls, who exchanged confused looks. They didn't understand why she was bringing that up.

"So? You're pregnant, you can't turn." Rebekah replied, her arms crossed over her chest.

"Yes. But I wanted to invite a few people over." Hayley replied, playing with her fingers as she looked at Rebekah hopefully.

"Of course. Every red-blooded American werewolf will be a bundle of fur and sharp teeth tonight whilst your cursed crescent clan will be-" Rebekah started to speak, but was quickly cut off by Hayley.

"Human. But only for a few hours, and won't be again until the next full moon." Hayley added, sighing softly as she tried to convince the blonde. "So, I asked Josh to get a message out to Eve in the bayou."

"Josh isn't dead yet? Well, good on him. I love a nice survival story." Rebekah replied, smiling sarcastically as she thought of the timid vampire. "Who the bloody hell is that?" She asked, causing both Hayley and Lily to turn their attention to the front door, where someone was wheeling a cart down the steps.

"Kegs out back, right?" Hayley asked, pushing her hair back as the guy nodded in response.

"Right. It appears you weren't going to wait for me to grant you permission to throw a kegger." Rebekah replied, sighing out in annoyance as she raised her eyebrows at the werewolf.

"Oh, come on, Rebekah. Elijah never said we couldn't have a party." Lily pointed out, shrugging slightly as she looked at the Original, who raised her eyebrows in slight disbelief.

"Look at you, finally growing a pair of your own. I like this new you." Rebekah replied, causing Lily to roll her eyes slightly.

"Elijah means well, but he's a little.. overprotective. Have your friends over, Hayley, I'm excited to meet them." Lily added, smiling softly at the wolf, who grinned widely at her in response.

Later that night, the wolves began to show up slowly, grabbing the clothes Hayley had hung up for them.
