Cheryl's POV

I carried now, 3 months old, Abrielle into the kitchen.

Toni was out getting more food for the fridge so it was just me and Abrielle for now.

"You want a bottle, Elle?" I asked the infant.

She just smiled up at me. "Yeah. I'm guessing you do." I giggled.

I quickly warmed her up a bottle.

After it was warmed, I went into the living room.

It's actually been a while since Toni been at the grocery store.

I tried calling her but it went straight to voice mail.

Just as I was about to call again, I heard the front door open.

"Baby? What took you so-" I was cut off when I saw her.

"Toni! What the fuck happened?" I asked, standing up quicking.

Abrielle dropped her bottle.

Toni groaned as she sat on the couch. "Those fucking ghoulies." She said, holding her arm.

"Fuck. What did they do?" I asked, gently laying Abrielle in her bouncer.

"Nothing much. They just jumped me." She groaned. She touched her side.

"No Toni, they stabbed you." I panicked.

"Baby. Baby, calm down, okay? It's not that deep. Just clean it." She said, calming me down.

I nodded, running to get the first aid kit.

I rushed back, pulling Toni's shirt off.

"Baby. You have to be more careful." I frowned, cleaning her wounds.

Toni chuckled. "Me? Careful? Fuck them, they need to be careful. They made a very stupid choice." She snickered, taking out her phone.

"Yo fangs. Get yo asses here! I was just jumped!" Toni said, hanging up before the boy could ask anything.

I placed the bandage on it. "There. All better." I smiled.

Toni smiled at me. "You're so beautiful." She whispered, caressing my cheek.

I smiled, looking down as I blushed. Toni giggled, standing up.

"Careful babe." I said.

"I'm okay." She smiled, picking up Abrielle.

"Hey, beautiful. I missed you." She kissed the girl's cheek.

Abrielle smiled, laughing as Toni kissed her cheeks.

Fangs and the gang entered the house.

"Tiny, What the fuck happened?" Sweet pea asked.

"Aye. Calm down, don't startle my daughter." Toni said.

He took a deep breath. "Ghoulies got a hold of me while I was walking back from the grocery store." Toni explained.

"You know, for a person who owns a car I don't see why you walked." Fangs huffed.

"Aye. the point is, the ghoulies are now our enemies. If they fire we fire back. As I said, we only do violence if we need too." Mr. Topaz said.

"I'm down. No serpent stands alone." Fangs said. Everyone else hummed in agreement.

"And as your queens, we must be under protection, so we need some of you to guard our house day and night, I will pay you." Toni said, caressing Abrielle's red-brown hair.

"On it, T. They won't get away with this." Joaquin agreed.

"Thanks, guys. You can leave now, this starts tonight." Toni said.

They nodded, leaving the house except for Mr. Topaz.

"You have a weapon if you need it." He looked at both of us.

"Yeah. Got it." I nodded. "Great. Stay safe." He smiled, leaving the house.

"She's falling asleep." Toni whispered, pointing to Elle.

I smiled as I watched her open and close her eyes.

Toni placed her in her bouncer, placing her Pacifier in her mouth.

She turned it on, sighing as the machine started to rock in gentle motions.

"You okay?" I asked, Cuddling into her.

"I'm terrified." She huffed.

"How come?" I asked.

"Because if they get to you or my daughter I- I'll go insane." She huffed, pinching the bridge of her nose.

I frowned. "Baby, nothing will happen to Elle and I. As long as we have the serpents under us, we're fine." I reassured.

"I know. I'm just gonna be more aware now." She sighed, kissing my forehead.

"I love you, " She mumbled against it.

"I love you more, " I smiled, looking at Abrielle. She was smiling in her sleep.

"Look. She's smiling." I giggled.

"She's even happy in her sleep." Toni chuckled.
