Toni's POV

"Why are you crying, beautiful? Beautiful girls don't cry." I said to the 3-month-old girl.

I grabbed her pink pacifier, placing it in her mouth. She hushed, suckling on the Pacifier.

I smiled, carrying her out of her room.

I went into the kitchen where Cheryl was.

"What was she so upset about?" She asked, taking the warmed bottle out of the microwave.

"I don't know." I shrugged, taking out her pacifier placing her bottle there instead.

"Yay, food." I cheered, causing the girl to giggle then going back to drink the milk.

"So, Any ghoulies come around?" Cheryl asked, seating beside me at the island.

"Nope. Fangs and sweet pea said that no one came." I smiled.

"See. I told you there was nothing to worry about. Did they take the food?" She asked.

"Of course they did." I huffed.

"Then they were probably just hungry and didn't know that you were the serpent queen." She said.

"Wait. You might be onto something, baby." I said.

"They didn't look like the ghoulies that usually start trouble. They looked like new recruits." I said.

"Exactly maybe they were just hungry." Cheryl nodded.

My phone beeped, it was my father.

Pops💪🤪: The ghoulies called for a meeting. They want all serpents there, so be ready if they want war.

Me: Thanks, dad. I'll send Jason over to protect the girls.

Pops💪🤪: Good. See you there.

"I gotta go, baby." I said, gently handing Bri to Cheryl.

"Where?" She asked, holding the bottle in her hand as Elle continued to suckle on it.

"Serpent meeting with the ghoulies. Turns out they want to talk. Or whatever that means." I sighed.

"Baby, Please be careful. I can't lose you." Cheryl said.

I smiled, turning her head by her chin gently. "I'm not going anywhere. I'll be right back." I said, pecking her lips repeatedly.

Cheryl pulled me in for a longer kiss. "You have your switchblade, right?" She asked.

"Of course." I said.

"I love you." She said.

"And I love you more." I giggled, kissing her again.

I waved as I walked out of the house.

Cheryl's POV

"Toni called me and said that I needed to come over to protect you guys, so here I am." Jason smiled, holding Abrielle as she played with her feet.

"Well, How are you and Ski?" I asked.

"We're good. She said she's excited to meet you and the fam." He smiled.

"That's good." I chuckled.

"How long are these meetings?" He asked.

"About 45 minutes long. Or longer if they're fighting, but I doubt they are."

Toni's POV

"Listen. We don't want any trouble guys." One said.

"Y-yeah. We-we didn't know that she was apart of the serpents, let alone the Queen." The other said.

"Look, Toni, Alex. If we wanted problems we would've been started one, but we aren't. We just want to go our separate ways." Malachi said.

I huffed. "Are they new recruits?" My father asked.

"Yes. We just initiated them last week. Which I'm starting to regret." He added, looking at the boys who jumped me.

"They stabbed me, Ya know." I smirked.

"They what?" He asked, turning to look at them.

"W-we-we were hungry. A-and you wouldn't let us eat till noon." One trembled.

"And you go and rob people! Look at the trouble and danger you put the rest of us in!" A girl said.

"Hey!" My father yelled. "Just stay off of our turf, and we'll stay off of yours. Deal?" I said.

Malachi nodded. "No Trouble here, Toni." Penny nodded.

"Great. And if we see you on it, we won't hesitate to... Endure it." Sweet pea smirked.

"Got it." They all nodded. "Great. Nice seeing you." I chuckled as we all walked away.

*later that day*
Cheryl's POV

"Happy happy baby! Happy happy baby!" Toni giggle as Abrielle clapped along with her.

I walked in, placing a bottle on the table.

"How was the meeting?" I asked, handing her the bottle.

"Great. No violence, we exchanged some words, talked it out. Turns out they were new recruits who were just hungry." She said.

"Yep. Like I said." I smiled, leaning my head on her shoulder.

She laid Abrielle in her arms, placing the bottle in the girl's mouth.

Toni and I smiled down at her as she looked up at Toni.

"She's getting so big so fast." I sighed.

"Tell me about, I had a dream that she turned one. She was talking gibberish." Toni laughed.

"oh god, gibberish is annoying." I huffed.

"When she turns one, the worse," Toni said.

I rolled my eyes. She's not wrong though.
