Ryan stood next to his friend, staring slack-jawed at the whirring of the machine. He looked from Shane, who was equally as amazed, to the fan who had invited them in the first place.

"So this works-" of course Shane's skeptic ass decided to judge immediately.

"Yep, I've tested it before. 100 percent safe." The fan, Cassidy, grinned happily at her creation and Ryan felt sick. He and his ghoul friend were about to test this time machine.

"Ok, Shane shouldn't we-" his friend was already opening the door.

"Hm?"

"Shouldn't we learn about how it works and ya know- film it?"

"Well we should know what to expect first, what if we walk into the time we pick and we've both died. The fans don't want to see that!"

"He has a point Ryan," Cassidy quietly spoke up, "just do a 15 minute run." Ryan took a deep breath and stared at the machine, before nodding slowly.

"Ok, lets go big guy." Ryan slapped Shane's back and stepped in, followed by his tall counterpart. Cassidy said something he didn't catch over his heartbeat speeding up and shut the door.

"Where are we going?" Shane asked, looking at the controls.

"What about 15 years in the future." Ryan suggested. "We can see if we have any kids or stuff like that." He said. Shane nodded thoughtfully and put in the date. The time travel machine started to make a lot of noise and Ryan found himself shuffling closer to Shane, fearing slightly for his own life. It continued to make loud noises before it finally came to a stop. Shane hesitantly opened the door into a dark alleyway.

"I think we're here Ry." He followed his friend hesitantly, looking around the alleyway.

"So this is LA? But where." The two walked out and onto the street. They recognized some things, like shops that had moved or others that were somehow still there. They saw someone holding an iPhone with like 10 cameras and Shane had lost his shit.

Everything was going great and normal, that was until they passed a restaurant with outdoor seating. Ryan pointed it out to Shane, since he was hungry anyways. The two started to walk over and noticed a small group of kids looking around 17 just sitting at a table. Normal right? Apparently not, because one looked at Ryan and Shane like they had said the most confusing shit ever.

"Dads?" Shane and Ryan looked each other dead in the eye, both conveying the same emotions. Dads?!

"Huh?" Ryan looked down at the kid, who's friends also looked like they recognized them.

"I thought you two had people over today, that's why you let me go out." Ryan suddenly realized- shit. This is his kid- his and Shane's kid- and they were supposed to be at home. Well their 45 year old selves.

"Oh yeah, they left early so we just came for lunch. We didn't realize you were here." Shane took over before Ryan could and he was thankful for it, since he was extremely nervous and confused. Him and Shane? His best friend? Married! He couldn't wrap his head around it.

"Oh alright. We'll be home later so uh- I'll see you then." Their son, gosh that was weird to say, smiled and got up to briefly hug the both of them, before Ryan nudged Shane to walk away. The two of them stiffly walked down the sidewalk, arms brushing occasionally. They finally found another place to eat and both sat down. It was silent and awkward and literally neither of them wanted to bring up the fact that they have a son in the future.

"So your bisexual?" Ryan finally broke the silence and spoke to Shane, who's head jerked up from his phone.

"Uh yeah- I just figured it out a little bit ago, didn't think this is how I could come out." Ryan frowned, feeling bad at his basically forced outing.

"I'm sorry, not how I wanted you to learn I had a crush on you either." Ryan chuckled softly and Shane's eyes widened slightly.

"Wait really? Cuz' you're how I learn I'm bi." The two men couldn't help but laugh at their odd situation.

"Now we have one problem, well, two." Ryan said.

"Uh let's deal with the one that's more important." Shane said, taking a sip of his drink.

"What do we tell our fans?"

"Should we just tell them? The shippers would be so excited." Shane shifted in his seat uncomfortably.

"Ok well now second question, what about us?"

"What do you mean?"

"Do we start dating? I mean we both like each other but I don't want our only reason for us to start dating is because we learned we had a kid." He watched Shane bite his lip as he thought quietly.

"No you're right, maybe we should try it and not tell anyone yet? See if we want to wait till later or just date now?" Ryan nodded at the suggestion.

"Well then we should head home, we have a fan to thank and a video to film." The two men stood up together and left the restaurant.

Cedric (yes I'm using this again shut it) opened the door to the house and tossed his keys on the small table, seeing both of his dads key rings laying there as well. huh. He walked into the living room, where His dads were laying on the couch watching a show together, both half asleep in each others arms.

"Hey dads, I'm home." They both looked over at Ryan sat up with a smile

"Welcome home buddy, have a good day?" Cedric regarded him with a confused face as he grabbed a water bottle from the fridge.

"Yeah, you guys saw me at lunch." Now his dads looked confused, both of them glancing at each other and then back at him.

"Cedric we never left the house." Shane said

"Yeah, after Steven and Andrew left we stayed here for the rest of the day."

"What? But I- my whole friend group and I saw you two, y'all were acting really weird too."

"Odd." Ryan said, making a thoughtful face. "You know it could have been-"

"No-"

"- Aliens." Cedric finishes for his father, the two of them sharing a grin while Shane glared at the two of them. The conversation was dropped until later that night, when he and Ryan discussed the theories some more.
