THIRD PERSON POV"Arrange the balls," Coach Ukai said as the others that were left in the gym continued cleaning.
"Let's race and see who gets the more!" Hinata challenged Kageyama.
Kageyama turned to the orange haired boy, getting into a running position. "Bring it on."
"3...2...1...GO!" And they blasted themselves around the entire gymnasium, gathering as many volleyballs their arms can carry.
Just as Kageyama was about to pick up the 6th ball, he suddenly slipped on something, making him release all the balls in the process.Kageyama grunted, rubbing his head and adjusted his vision to see what he slipped on. It was a clip like object that he never seen before. Curious, he picked it up and stood from the floor, forgetting about the challenge with Hinata.
"What the hell is this?" He pondered, clipping it repeatedly on his palm.
"YOU LOST!" Hinata shouted from behind as he startled the setter.
"BOKE! I SLIPPED" Kageyama yelled back and turned his attention back to the clip.
"What is that?" Hinata peeked.
"Who knows?"
Hinata examined it carefully and an idea popped into his head. "It's a clip!"
"It is a clip," Kageyama deadpanned.
"No I mean I see those clips used on guitars," Hinata replied, "I'm not sure. Maybe Kumi owns it." He shrugged, leaving Kageyama as he walked placed the balls back inside the storage room and followed the other players outside.
"Kageyama!" Sugawara shouted, "We're going to the shop, Daichi will buy us pork buns."
He nodded in response and quickly took his bag, putting the "clip" inside and ran to catch up with them.
——
It was only a short walk to Sakanoshita Store, about 10 minutes or so. As Daichi gave everyone their share of pork buns, they settled in a table just outside the store, munching to their hearts' content after the intense training.
Hinata quickly chewed on his pork bun then turned to Coach Ukai who was just peacefully smoking. "Ukai-san, since you knew Kumi, why don't you teach her volleyball or try getting her invloved in sports?"
"Ryu!" Noya exclaimed, "Imagine her playing volleyball!"
"I already am," Tanaka daydreamed together with the libero as they picture Kumi in volleyball sports attire.
"It'll make her 10x cooler!"
"And 10x cuter!"
They said, staring into thin air. Until Ukai broke their trances with a snicker.
"Aren't you familiar with her?" Ukai asked as he went to the rack of newspapers piled up.
"I did recall seeing her somewhere," said Daichi.
"I think she's familiar too," said Suga.
"No," Kageyama said flatly.
"She does remind me of a volleyball player back in junior high," Hinata said.
Ukai slammed a newspaper down in the table harshly, startling everyone as they divert their attentions to the center. "That's because she is that volleyball player," Ukai had a smug look on his face while everyone looked up at him with puzzled faces.
