THIRD PERSON POV

"Tsukki."

"Leave me alone, Yamaguchi."

"G-gomen...I j-just want to tell you that we have to start packing. We're going back to Miyagi tomorrow..."

Tsukishima nodded slowly, hearing Yamaguchi's footsteps slowly fading away.

The blonde looked up, facing at the bright crescent moon that glowed down on him.

He too still can't believe it.

My bestfriend's dead...He thought and only held his usual bored face. He may not show it, but hearing the news depressed him possibly more than anyone else.

He was prepared for this since the day he knew about her illness, but he wondered why it looks like he wasn't.

That's when Tsukishima realized that he was never prepared for it at all.

"No news, Sensei?"

Takeda shook his head, packing up the last of his things.

"I've been trying to call her parents but the line's always busy," Sugawara muttered.

"So just like this?" Hinata spoke sadly. "We're just gonna accept it?"

"H-Hinata...we have no choice..." Yachi mumbled, comforting the orange-haired boy.

"So we're just gonna see her at her...f-f-funeral t-then?" Asahi's voice cracked.

"If she'll have one."

Everyone diverted their eyes to Tsukishima who said it bluntly, giving him confused expressions.

"What do you mean, Tsukki?"

"She doesn't want a funeral."

"What...?" Everyone asked the same question.

"Why?"

"Simply because she doesn't want us to see her dead. Atleast that's what she told me," the blonde muttered and stepped inside the bus as everyone stood dumbfounded.

Kageyama sighed, eyes red and puffy from crying the whole night. He didn't get sleep for the last eight hours just constantly thinking about her and the memories they made together.

She just easily walked out of his life and left him broken.

Is this what she means by breaking my heart? The setter thought and lets out a deep breath as he scrolled through the playlist of his phone.

If what Tsukishima said was true, so I'm not gonna see you again? For the last time atleast.

He desperately prayed as he leaned his head on the window while he listened deeply to the song, drowning himself in the only voice he wanted to hear forever.

"We're home."

"Welcome home!" Mrs. Tsukishima beamed at her two sons.

Akiteru greeted his mom with a hug and gladly entered their abode, but somehow she noticed how gloomy the aura Kei had at the moment.

Was it because of the game? She thought. "Let's eat now! I'm sure you're both hungry after the long bus ride."

Kei didn't reply, grabbing his shoes as he arranged it on the shelf.
