Ellis was pacing in his bedroom, looking at his phone, he wondered why Cameron hadn't call or messaged him in 3 days since he left, he was going to be late for his work experience so he went downstairs and waited for Mackie to be ready and walked her to the school. While in a staff meeting still looking at his phone, nothing.
He spent the whole day being distracted with his phone, wanting to look at every two seconds during classes and not taking his eyes of it during breaks and lunch. He also knew it was because Cameron would be busy with coursework and also making new friends so he couldn't be mad.
At home he finally decided to call him. He waited on the phone and he picked it up. "How is it going, I decided that you should have time to settle in before I calk you, are you Ok?"
"I'm fine, just doing the homework, I have become close to my roommate called Thea, she is so cool and I have become close to Shelby, another of her friends, Hunter and also Eden, everyone cool and think you are cute and can't wait to meet you soon." He heard Cameron voice differently, he wasn't sure but he didn't sound happy.
"Something happened?" Ellis asked carefully, he knew that Cameron would become distant and not talk to him and it would be hard to reconcile with him being so far away from him.
Ellis walked hastily up and down his bedroom, he put the phone on the desk, speakerphone and started getting the materials he needed for his first time teaching history tomorrow. Cameron was silent on the phone, Ellis left him to get him ready to tell him.
After a 10 minute wait, Cameron started to talk, Ellis became more interested. "
"can I tell you when you come here. Your coming next week aren't you?" Cameron seemed upset, Ellis couldn't believe that he is hearing the hurt in his voice, and doesn't want to believe that it is about them.
"Why?" Ellis asked scared that it could be that he can't do this long distance, all Ellis knew that wasnt going to let him go.
He wouldn't let him do this, he wasn't going to let him leave him not like how they are now. "Cameron, I love you."
"I love you." He hung the phone, Ellis out his phone on the desk and sat on the floor. He wasn't sure what was happening with Cameron, could it be too much for him being away from each other and that he should end the relationship or is he being his normal self and just getting overworked on assignments. One thing is Ellis knew that he would get to the bottom of it when he goes.
..
The big day arrived, Ellis was getting his things packed, his dad was going to take him to Newcastle as he had business there as well. They said by to mum and Mackie and made their way to Newcastle.
On the ride Ellis messaged Cameron to send the address and that they won't be long.
"You must be Ellis, Cameron didn't mention that you are this handsome. Come in." Ellis assumed that this was Thea, he followed her into the living room. Other people assuming that they are lecture friends along with the people that live in the house with him. He went back to say bye to his dad and see him in 2 days to go home.
"Where's Cameron?" Thea turned and looked at Ellis in the eye.
"In his room, he has been odd for the last week, we don't know why" She said, Ellis stood up and made his way to the stairs, "It the second room on the left."
He got to the outside of the room and waited, thinking how he was going to approach this. He knocked on the door and opened it. Cameron turned around and stared at Ellis closing the door. He didn't think and ran to jump into his arms, Ellis caught him.
