Roman waited almost anxiously in Pasifis. They'd finally received word from Joan that the Vers' would be attending but they said they couldn't go just yet in case King Haphul tried to double-cross them. He gave no explanation about what Ver looked like.

Remus tackled his brother in a hug. "Hey, bro!" He said with a slur.

Roman frowned cautiously. "Why are you drunk?"

"There's alcohol set up o-over there!" Stumbled Remus, smiling goofily.

"Remus, that's not for us!" Roman said hurriedly.

"Excuse me? Is there a problem?" The princes turned to see a cheerful-looking fairy, possibly their age. He had bouncy, curly, golden hair and big, green eyes, his face a smothered mess of freckles. He wore round glasses and had an owl feather tucked behind his ear. The fairy smiled brightly at them. "Do you need any help? I love helping people, my name's Patton Glimlag!"

He stuck out his hand and Roman hesitated, remembering how he'd been told that fae were cowards. He shook the fairy's' hand and smiled awkwardly. "My brother's just managed to get drunk, please, it's not a problem."

Patton scoffed. "Oh, please, he'll want to be sober for this, the Ver might be coming!" Roman allowed himself a small smile, knowing that they would be and he was excited to see which lucky Ver would be swept off her feet when he saw her. So what if he hadn't had a crush on a girl before? The universe was probably just saving someone special for him.

The fairy had his hands on Remus's' forehead and Roman gasped at the warm, pink glow that he saw. Patton pulled away his hands and Remus stumbled back.

"Woah, I feel slightly less odd!" He exclaimed, managing to stay on his feet.

Patton giggled, clapping his hands together. Roman noticed glossy, thin, baby pink wings on his back. "Ooh, new friends! What are your names? You never told me!"

"Oh, um!" Roman's' eyes widened. "We are Princes Roman and Remus of Bose, we should've introduced ourselves."

The fairy's' mouth dropped. "I just helped a prince?" He breathed, eyes sparkling.

"Yep, that's right! Dammit, man, I can see clearly, this is epic!" Remus started to enjoy being sober as his grin spread quickly across his face.

Roman frowned with slight concern at Patton, who was swaying on his feet slightly. "Are you okay, Patton?"

"Aww, you are so polite!" Roman suddenly found himself in a tight hug and Patton grabbed Remus. "And you are so funny! I shall protect you from all I can, you are now my children!"

"Whoop, second dad!" Quipped Remus.

All Roman could think of was how this man was anything but straight.

Another fairy, who looked a little wiser and older than Patton, fluttered over. "Mister Glimlag, the Council is waiting for you..."

"Oh, yeah! I always forget I have a job to do!" Patton dropped the princes from a hug and he wagged his finger at them while walking after the other fae. "Don't be naughty, you two!" He lectured sternly.

Remus beamed after him. "I like him. Let's keep him."

"Remus, you can't just keep people!"

"Wait, you can't? That's news to me!"

Roman couldn't help but burst out laughing with his brother, leaning forwards, resting a hand on Remus's' shoulder. A minute or so passed and they were just laughing, enjoying the company of their brother. They were both on the ground, rocking back and forth with loud cackling.
