Pasifis is an empty land but it is not to be thought of fearfully. It takes up a small portion of every kingdoms' territory, leaving it a mix of all environments. Pasifis follows its' own rules, set up over three-hundred years ago by the four individual rulers of Verloor, Bose, Gedagte and Goeie. Murder, violence and unregulated fighting, for example, are illegal and breaking those rules without very, very good reason results to death by Daarks. Not a very pleasant way to go.

Pasifis is surprisingly small for a kingdom of its' own. It's a large circle, the area amounting to the same of three football pitches, and it has two settlements. One is home to Geds, humans and fae. The second resides in the forested area of Pasifis. The only inhabitants are Ver.

This is why King Haphul decided to use Pasifis for his new idea. It had the right environment to make the other races feel at home, instead of forcing Vers into the sunlight, keeping Geds away from the thin air they were accustomed to breathing and making the fae stay away from their rolling hills.

What was all this about? Well, Gedagte had managed to get in arguement with Verloor and Goeie were, as always, being the peacemaker while Bose watched from the sidelines. It was the same process constantly and King Haphul was bored with it.

That's why Roman and Remus were in the drawing-room with their father, taking notes and drafting up brainstorms and invitations as he rambled on about his idea. The twins' mother was staying in bed. She had been ill since the boys were fourteen. They were turning twenty-one next month. Sometimes, the queen would be her normal self, but they mostly weren't allowed to see her. It broke their hearts.

"Although the Council of Fae will agree to the invitation and the Ged Governors will hold no complaints, I do not know how Verloor will take this," Complained Haphul, tapping his pen away furiously away on the desk.

"I say we leave them out if they won't accept an average invitation. They shouldn't be given any special treatment just because they have daarks!" Roman scoffed. The crown prince had grown up with very little patience for anyone except his family and close friends. He was hurt easily and he defended himself with a large, egotistical act. His hair was a hazel brown, beautiful and soft, similar to his fathers'. Roman's' eyes were fabulous, too. The base colour was a reddish auburn, with honey-flecks around the rim of the iris. Roman was also the kind of prince who worked out and it subtly showed. He wasn't overloaded with muscles but it was always noticeable, especially when he wore short sleeves. He snorted arrogantly. "Besides, it means we wouldn't have to be so nervous without them around. They're overrated, anyway."

Remus didn't look as good as his brother. His hair had more of a grey, grainy colour to it and his eyes were less captivating. The pasty skin would gain red blotches due to his allergy of nettles and he didn't look as fit as Roman, even though the two trained together and he was actually stronger than his twin. However, he did manage to grow a moustache, something Roman was secretly jealous about, so at least there's that. "Yeah, but, Roman! Don't you want to see a Ver? No one has, like, ever, they only ever send their daarks!"

Roman pouted. "They should still accept an average invitation."

"Actually, Roman, I agree with Remus," Haphul said thoughtfully. "Not only has no one alive ever seen a Ver but it would also be a great way to possible gain their favour. If Bose were to have Verloor backing them, we'd be unstoppable."

The crown prince hesitated, ignoring his brother who stuck his tongue out at him. Roman tilted his head thoughtfully. "But, father, I thought you once said that Vers were untrustworthy."

Haphul rolled his eyes. "And I also once said to your mother that of any of you two grew a moustache, I'd shave it off but Remus still has his intact. I said Vers was reluctant to trust. Once you are a Ver's' friend, according to legend, they will defend you until their death."

"Ooh!" Cooed Remus. "I want a Ver friend, now!"

Roman sighed loudly at his brother. "Fine, so we invite Verloor to join us how?"

"We'll send a royal butler. They like to know they are being properly respected. We'll send them Joan, they're important enough to hold some leverage and intelligent enough not to behave like an idiot in front of the Verloor King." Haphul decided.

Remus frowned. "Why do we have to send Joan? Why not Remy?"

The king shook his head. "Remy is far too confident, he may say something rude without noticing. Also, he refuses to take off his shaded spectacles, he won't see a thing."

"Uh, I think he calls his spectacles sunglasses..." Roman commented.

Haphul tilted his head back thoughtfully. "Odd name."

"Well, what are we going to do with the other races?" Asked Remus with an obnoxious whine. "The Vers wouldn't come for a nice big get-together without something in it for them-!" He jumped to his feet, grinning. "A competition! It'll be a great way for Verloor and Gedagte to peacefully fight it out and we can find a way to make sure Bose wins so we look superior!"

Roman hesitated. "Wouldn't rigging a way for us to win make us look bad?"

Remus shrugged. "Not if we cover it up."

Haphul was nodding slowly. "That is a rather good idea, Remus. Minus the cheating part, of course." The king stood. "I will discuss this with my advisor and see what he thinks. We'll let the other kingdoms decide the guest list, it will probably be a nice way to show we mean no harm."

The princes bowed to their father as the king left the room. Then, Remus sidled over to Roman. "Wanna sneak into the kitchen and cause a mess?"

"Hell yes, I am so bored."
