Logan hadn't actually been that bad when it came to company. He'd answered all of Roman's' questions in a way that wasn't too complex, which Roman was thankful for. Logan was now giving into Roman's' insisting and he was leading the prince over to the forest.
Roman had begged the Ged to sneak him into the Verloorian forest of Pasifis and Logan had caved.
"But I don't have as good eyesight as the Vers," Logan said, "So we may not be able to head deeper than the first few feet in, okay?"
Roman grinned happily at the Ged. "It's fine, I just really want to at least be there! I've never been inside a forest before, we have a few clusters of trees in Bose but there's hardly any."
Logan nodded slowly. "I have to say, I haven't been in a forest either. Not many trees grow in Gedagte because of the terrain." The Ged paused outside the trees, staring into the black. He sucked in his cheeks thoughtfully.
Biting his bottom lip awkwardly, Roman glanced around. "Uh, Logan? You good?"
"I remember this..." Mumbled Logan, focusing his gaze in the ground as his eyes widened. "I've seen it."
"Oh my god, did you dream it? You've seen us going into Verloor that's so cool!"
Logan held up his hand. "We have to be quiet, Roman, if we are to enter Verloor. Follow my lead," he hissed.
Roman felt the excited anxiety in his chest and he struggled to contain a giggle. Seeing the dark trees loom over him as Logan slowly advanced was enough to turn him giddy. He could remember how cold and dead it felt, how the darkness stunned his senses, how it felt to be back in the sun, how Virgilious's' hands felt on his chest when they pushed him out- No! No, no, not going there! Remus was not going to win this bet, not with the stakes so high!
Banishing the thoughts from his head, Roman was only one foot away from the forest. Logan glanced around as if expecting something. The Geds' behaviour was starting to unnerve the crown prince, who felt like he too should be on guard.
Virgilious stepped out of the shade, missing his kleindraak as he wandered forwards, blindfold wrapped around his eyes. It was obvious he hadn't known they were there because he kept walking forwards, head bowed, until he walked straight into Roman.
Roman jolted when they collided, and he grabbed the Vers' cold arms, trying to stabilise him. Virgilious obviously took it the wrong way. He freaked out, purple marks lighting up to a blinding glow. The Ver, snapped a leg around Roman's', catching his knee and making the prince buckle down. He twisted his arms, pulling them from Roman's' grasp and he spun the human round, pinning him to the ground, knee dug in his back.
"Oh my god, are you mentally okay?!" Growled Roman, glaring up at the blindfolded Ver.
He expected a snarky comeback like yesterday but, instead, Virgilious gasped, scrabbling off him. "C-Crown prince, I am very sorry!"
Logan helped Roman to his feet and Roman glowered down at his clothes. "You've literally ruined my outfit!" He snarled at the Ver, who still sat, stunned, on the ground.
The butler shook slightly at the yelling. "I-I didn't mean to, you scared me!"
"Roman, calm down-" Logan tried, but the prince was far too angry.
"If you Ver are going to wear a blindfold, at least keep your kleindraak with you so you don't randomly attack people you walk into!" Roman snapped furiously, hands on his hips.
Virgilious was shaking almost violently as he scrabbled awkwardly to his feet.
Logan ran his tongue quickly across his lips nervously. "Roman, please, it was an accident-"
"He pinned me to the ground, Logan! He actively pinned me to the ground!" Roman spun around to face the butler but only saw the Ver tripping back into the shadows with a choked noise. As quickly as it came, his anger fleeted and he sighed, trying to calm down.
"You have such a bad temper..." Sighed Logan.
Roman shot the Ged a glare. "He attacked me, Logan."
"He attacked you because he was blindfolded, so he couldn't see. He had just walked into something that grabbed him and it's no wonder he freaked out because he didn't have a kleindraak to tell him that it was safe." Replied Logan. "Honestly, take in the separate factors, Roman."
The prince huffed loudly, turning away from Logan with a pout. "I don't want to go in there, anymore."
"Good," Said a voice from the forest that made the two jolt. King Janus stood there, expression thunderous and Krag looked ready to slaughter. "Would one of you like to explain why Virgil is having a panic attack?"
"Virgil?" Frowned Roman, not recalling the name.
"He means Virgilious," Logan hissed, taking a step forward to the King, who fixed him with an eyeless stare. "Roman and Virgilious bumped into each other and, for some reason, your butler was not accompanied by Koue. He freaked out and attacked Roman who reacted with vocalised anger."
Krag's' eyes narrowed with murder for Janus, who responded with venom. "Well, congratulations, Prince Roman." He hissed, with snakish quality.
"Maybe your butler should keep his kleindraak with him if he's planning on heading outside!" Replied Roman quickly.
"Koue was helping a bird that was caught in a wire. Virgil was planning to sit in the sun on the edge of the border, he wouldn't have bothered anyone." Janus's' frown deepened."Stay away from my people." He finished with a snarl, before spinning on his heel and marching back into Verloor.

Remus grabbed Roman by his brothers' wrists, spinning him around. The two slid in a circle together on the very, very, very polished floor of the dining room in the Bose palace.
"Remus! I'm gonna get dizzy!" Cried Roman, laughing.
"Hah! Jokes on you! I'm always dizzy!"
"What?"
The younger twin suddenly crouched, leaning far back and Roman stayed standing, also leaning back in a counterbalance as the two continued to spin around.
Roman laughed as the two slowly began to slide to a stop and he let go, both falling onto the ground in hysterics.
"Seriously, Remus?" Roman giggled, rubbing his lower back.
Remus cackled, rolling onto his stomach. "Wanna go again?"
Roman shook his head, catching his breath. "Nope, the world is spinning like mad already!"
The door burst open and Haphul stood there, clapping his hands impatiently. "Up! Up! We've got no time for this!"
"Wha?" Frowned Remus, quickly scrabbling to his feet.
"Have you two forgotten the ball? It's starting in a couple of hours and King Janus has only just informed me that we'll need to light moonbrim stone instead of normal coal to protect the eyes of his people and you two aren't even ready!" Haphul said loudly, walking over quickly and pulling Roman up off the ground. "Not to mention the Ver will be staying in the spare rooms from tonight and on, I have the servants already working hard and I had to take some away from their duties to look for you!"
The twins struggled at containing laughter as their father ushered them out of the door. "Sorry, dad, we got distracted!" Tried Remus, grinning.
"Of course you did, you always manage to get your brother in trouble with you, Remus!" Snapped Haphul. Remus's' face fell but the King didn't seem to notice. "Go get ready!" He barked and shut the dining room doors.
