Taehyung woke up with a start, his hand pressed against his chest where the mafia boss had impaled the knife. His collarbone tattoo burned at that memory, sending uncomfortable shudders down his spine.
He parted himself from the comforter, legs shivering at the touch of the cold wind and from the nightmare. He snatched the cigarette and lighter from the nightstand -- lighting up the stick between his dry lips.
He took a slow drag before letting out the smoke, watching tendrils curl around the air and disappear. Yoongi was not going to approve, but it didn't matter cause he wasn't here.
He wasn't here most of the days.
His music company was making some sort of comeback and Yoongi pulled frequent all nighters at the office to get the work done. Taehyung tried to make no fuss out of it, but not having him around brought back his worst nightmares -- the cigarettes were the only cope up mechanism; something to make up for the lost warmth.
Groggily he made his way downstairs, cigarette hanging loosely between his lips but he didn't want to finish it just yet. Taehyung settled down on the couch and turned on the television. Sleep wasn't coming back anyways.
Yoongi had told him that Taehyung could call him anytime of the night he wanted, but he didn't want to come off as some clingy boyfriend.
More like significant annoyance.

He tried to get him mind off by focusing on the show, but no matter how hard he tried it didn't help him at all. Taehyung glanced at the wall clock which read 3 in the morning.
Is Yoongi okay? He thought while chewing on his lips. What if he's in some sort of trouble, it's past midnight anyways.
He shook his head to get the thought out but the images of all the possible scenarios of the troubles Yoongi could be in kept flashing in his mind. None of them were good.
Hey stop worrying, Yoongi is probably chilling out and composing music.
What if he got cornered by some gang?
In his office? Unlikely.
What if he was on his way home?! Gosh V I need to go check out right now.
