Juanito, what's the Mata?
Chapter 12 - Liverpool
I was nervous for the match today. I was still completely lost why it was a big match and why my cousins and little sister wanted to go. Catalina was sitting in the front next to me while Ádam and Ernesto where sitting in the back trying to explain everything to me. I was completely lost.
"Crissy, how can you just not understand it?" Ádam said with a loud sigh.
"I just don't okay, you know I used to rarely watch the premire league so I am lost in this whole drama." I said pulling up into the special parking spot Juan saved for me.
"Fine." Ádam and Ernesto said at the same time.
"We're having dinner at the Torres house?" Catalina asked with a huge smile on her face. She really did love Torres.
"We are." I said messing up her hair.
"Then I hope he doesn't get hurt today." She said now looking over at Ádam and Ernesto.
"I am pretty sure Agger will get a piece of him today." Ernesto said with a laugh.
"Wait, is Liverpool a violent team? I really hope Juan doesn't get injured." I said still feeling completely clueless. I didn't know anything about English clubs and slowly I have been learning things about them.
"No, they aren't violent." Ernesto said with a laugh. "I was kidding Crissy, why are you so protective of Juanin." He said as we entered the Bridge.
I felt a bit weird because the seats Juan got us for the match were just behind their bench. I was surprised of how close we were but you could say it was all for a special occasion. I was looking at the pitch that was empty and I could feel myself get nervous. I just couldn't wait for the match to start. I was still confused about the whole Liverpool deal. I was surprised when I saw the group of Liverpool players arriving at the pitch. They all looked innocent and sweet, maybe I am just a bad judge of character. I could see Ádam and Ernest getting exited.
I was all exited when I saw Mata come out with his new award. He got the Barclays Premier League Player of the Month award and I couldn't be prouder. I was applauding while Ádam, Ernesto and Catalina would scream things at him. I was surprised when I saw Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole sitting infront of us.
"Frank?" I said and he finally noticed me.
"Cristina, lovely to see you here." He said pulling me into a hug. "These are my daughters, Luna and Isla." He said pulling closer the two pretties girls in the world.
"Hello." I said to both girls that greeted me with a smile. "This is my little sister Catalina and my two cousins Ádam and Ernesto." I said and I could see Ernesto fanboying on the inside.
"You are my favorite player ever," Ernesto said. "I am a midfielder too, but I play in the youth team in Valencia." He said with a smile.
"Juan doesn't give you pointers?" Frank asked trying not to laugh.
"He does." Ernesto said and they both laugh. "Ádam here wants to be a defender."
They continued to chat while I was paying more attention to the pitch. I was watching Juan run with the ball. The new list for the National team came out and he got called up. I was happy for him but that meant time away from him again. I was enjoying myself too much with him and I was being completely silly.
