"Merlin Harry" I thought to myself as I heard the news. My mother looked over at me, giving a sympathetic look. Her and my dad knew about my small "crush" on Harry since our first year at Hogwarts. They had just finished reading the paper on how Harry could possibly be facing expulsion. I immediately ran over to my room, looking for my quill and parchment. I began to write to Hermione, feeling as she might know more than I do because, let's face it, she knows everything. Once I finished writing I walked over to our family owl, "please give this to Hermione as soon as you can" I whispered to her, handing her a treat before watching her fly away. I turn back around and walk over to my bed, feeling unsure of what would happen next. I couldn't sleep throughout the night so I stuck around with my parents, knowing that they wouldn't be sleeping and would be up trying to think of a way to help Harry. My parents loved Harry, they always supported him and offered him a place to stay if he needed. Though they worked in the Ministry that were filled with rumors and people who disliked Harry, they always showed their support for him and defended him whenever someone who say something bad about him. We watched as our owl came in through our window, "did Hermione write to me?" I asked as I walked over to them, looking through some letters that were dropped off on the table. "No but we got a letter from Arthur" my dad said as he began to open the letter, reading what was written.
"Y/d/n,
The order has decided to meet up, it's important to all get together right now and try to do something to prevent what's happening right now. Molly, the kids, and I are going to Sirius's home I'm not sure when everyone else will arrive. Please come as soon as you can.
See you soon,
Arthur"
We all looked at each other for a minute before going our separate ways to begin packing our things and before we knew it we had arrived at 12 Grimmauld Place. My parents kissed me goodbye as they walked into one of the rooms, hearing some familiar faces. I turned around and felt attacked with all the hugs that I received. I looked around to see the twins, Ginny, Ron, and Hermione.
"Where's Harry?" I ask, looking around to see if he was there. "You haven't seen us all break and that's all you say?" Hermione joked, rolling her eyes playfully before we all walked upstairs. "Speaking of, how was everyone's break?" I asked before they all began to talk about what they had done, hearing that Hermione read for most of the break didn't surprise any of us.
"Have you talked to Harry at all?" Ron asked as we walked over to one of the rooms, noticing that the twins and Ginny were going to their own rooms. I looked back at Ron and Hermione, smiles on their faces as they both looked at me, hoping to fill them in as if anything were to happen. "Yes we wrote to each other every so often but not as much as I wanted to" I said, sitting down near the window. "You know, he talked about you to me at times" Hermione said, nudging my arm as she sat next to me. Ron stood by the door, leaning against it as he crossed his arms, nodding when I looked at him, "Same here, y/n, but he's really clueless sometimes" he said, shaking his head. "You're one to talk Weasley" I laughed out, feeling Hermione look away from both of us, watching as she grew red and of course, Ron looking away, clueless as ever. "We better get down there" I said as I stood up, trying to break some of the awkward tension. They nodded before we walked downstairs, feeling my heart start to race as I heard Harry's voice.
I watched as Hermione ran towards him, watching as she wrapped her arms around him, followed by Ron and I. After a while we all walked back to the room, Harry and I shared glances and smiles before we watched Hermione and Ron talk. "So how are you?" Harry asked as he looked at me for a second, I shook my head and chuckled, "Harry why are you asking me this? I should be the one asking you, how are you? how are you feeling?" I asked, watching him take a deep breath. "I'm nervous, y/n. I casted the spell to save Dudley and I but it only backfired, and knowing how the ministry thinks of me, I don't think things are going to sort out well". I nodded as he spoke, looking away from him, I felt horrible for him. Him being the boy who lived, was always targeted. Everybody pointed fingers at him and with the ministry and daily prophet always saying things about him, it didn't help his case. "I'm sorry Harry, whatever happens you know you have all of our support. I'm sure that they won't let you go that easily" I said trying to a reassure him, he simply just gave a nod before we walked into the room. We all stayed up for a few hours talking to each other about our breaks and about what would happen. Harry talked about his trial and what happened with him, Dudley, and Mrs. Figg.
The next morning I woke up seeing that my parents were out of our room. I stood up and walked downstairs, seeing Mad-Eye Moody, Professor Lupin, Sirius Black, Nymphadora Tonks, Arthur and Molly Weasley, along with my parents already down their. "Where's everyone else?" I asked as I whispered to my parents, turning to greet everyone who was there afterwards, "Some of the members of the order had left already, some of them are waiting for all of us at the Ministry" my mom whispered back. I nodded and turned around to see Harry, we made eye contact, smiling a bit to each other. He walked over to me, now feeling slightly embarrassed that I hadn't changed from my pjs. "Good morning Harry" I said, handing him a mug filled with tea. "Good morning y/n how'd you sleep?" he asked, taking a sip from the mug. "Why do you ask me these things Harry? You never ask me these type of questions" I chuckle, looking around watching everyone slowly start to come down for breakfast. "I'm trying to break the silence" he said as he looked at me for a moment before I looked at him again, "How are you feeling?" I asked even though I knew the answer. "Not any better" he whispered, not wanting the others to hear him. I set my mug down, reaching out for his hand, caressing it gently. He gave a small smile, "I should go talk to the rest before I leave" he said before awkwardly walking away. My mom looked over at me, giving a thumbs up, I shook my head giving a small shrug.
After a while it was only Ginny, Hermione, Fred and George, Ron and I. Everyone was anxiously waiting for any news at all on Harry. The twins cracked a few jokes every so often which made everyone laugh but everyone was too nervous to continue on with the jokes. Hermione, Ginny, and I went over to the room that they were sharing. We sat on the bed and went over the list of supplies that would be needed throughout the school year.
"There's a different book this year for Defense against the dark arts" I said as I continued to read through the list. "Wonder who the new professor is going to be, we should bet on how long it'll take them to leave" Ginny chuckled, making Hermione and I laugh.
