The next morning I woke up and did the usual, we really don't have to go through this part again. I head downstairs to the common room, noticing how Ron and Harry weren't there. I walk out and start to head over to the Great Hall for some breakfast. I look around and spot some familiar faces.
"Good morning guys" I smile as I stand in front of Dean, Seamus, Neville, and Ginny. "Can I sit with you guys?" I ask as they give a smile a nod in response. I sit down, smiling at them before we all began to eat. "So how are you y/n?" Seamus asks with a soft smile on his face. I shrug and chuckle, "I mean I can't complain, I'm doing good how are all of you?" I say as they all begin to speak afterwards. After a while I decide it's time to shift the conversation, "listen guys, I know how annoying it is to even go to class with Umbridge now that we aren't learning much. Yesterday we were talking and came up with this idea that we learn how to cast these spells. Without the textbook. It's time we take matters into our own hands. Are you in?" I ask as I look at all of them who look stunned, "you know I'm in y/n" Dean says. I smile at him which then led to Seamus and Ginny to agree. Neville seemed unsure at first, a little hesitant with what he was going to say. "I'm in" he finally says, having all of us erupt in smiles and laughs. I hug Neville tightly, "great, the word has to spread around, but be careful. Only tell people who are cool with all of us and won't say anything about it. Our first meeting will be during the next Hogsmeade trip" I say before I continue to eat breakfast.
After breakfast I walk over to Divination, sitting next to Hermione. "So I talked to Neville, Ginny, Seamus, and Dean. They agreed on going to the meeting, they're going to help get the word out" I whisper to her, smiling as she gave a nod. "I think we have a place to hold the meeting" She whispers back. We then put our attention back to Professor Trelawney. Once Divination ended we had break. We walked over Transfiguration to kill time. We all stood around each other, walking towards Mcgonagall's class. Once we arrived we stood near the door, leaning against each other or the walls around us.
"I've asked Cho if she wanted to be part of the order" Harry said, looking at all of us. I took a silent deep breath. Hermione and Ron look at me for a second before I give them a reassuring smile.
"What did she say?" I ask, turning to look at Harry, "she said she'd attend the meeting so that's a start right?" he asks as he looks at me. I nod, placing a hand on his shoulder before watching people start walking to their classes. "Let's go inside" Hermione says, trying to break the tension. We all nod and step inside.
After a long lecture and just writing notes, we all go out for lunch. I sit next to Ron who as usual, is stuffing his face with food. Harry and Hermione sat across from us, talking about the meeting that would be happening over the weekend. Ron and I would listen at times but for most of lunch as just ate together and joked around.
After lunch we went to Herbology, changing into whatever Professor Sprout had out for us. Before we go to our usual spot I see Draco walking towards us. I stand up straight as he stood in front of us. "y/n do you mind if we talk?" he asks as he looks at the rest of the group for a second, "privately" he adds. They look at me, making sure that I'd be okay. I give them a reassuring smile, "I'll catch up with you guys". They nod and walk away, I watch as Harry just stared us down. I look at Draco, confused on why he wanted to speak now. "Look I know that i haven't been the best of friends these last few years to you y/n" he says quietly as he tilts his head, waiting for a response. "Draco there's no bad blood between us. It just upsets me how badly you've treated my friends and how you just left me out of the blue" I say as I cross my arms, "I know I'm sorry but I'm letting you know that if they act the way they do with me, I'm not changing either" he chuckles as he glares at Harry who was still staring at us. "You know, the Hogsmeade trip is coming up. Do you want to go for some butterbeer or something?" Draco asks, causing me to smile a bit. "Only if you promise not to ditch me" I joke, making him laugh. "I have something to do while at Hogsmeade, can I meet you at the three broomsticks afterwards?" I ask as I remembered the meeting. "Yes, it's fine" he insists. I smile before we both walk to our spots.
"What did blondie want?" Ron asks, making Harry laugh. I roll my eyes playfully at them, "We're going for butterbeer during the trip" I say which causes Hermione to widen her eyes, "but the meetin-" she says before I stop her, "I told him I had something to do, but I'd meet with him afterwards". Hermione sighs as she crosses her arms. "So you're going on a date with Malfoy?" Ron asks, causing my face to heat up, "n-no Ronald it's not a date! It's friends...reconnecting?" I say, Ron scoffs making me lightly hit his arm. "I was going to ask you for some butterbeer after the meeting but, I guess Malfoy beat me to it" Harry says. I look down, feeling bad about the sudden decision that I had made. "We can go another time y/n don't worry" Harry says, smiling shyly. I nod as I look at him before Sprout began to speak.
I don't want to bore you with the rest of the classes that we had, nothing really important happened anyways. Besides Draco acting a little bratty during Care of Magical Creatures. We went to the Great Hall for dinner, every so often glancing up at Draco, seeing that he was looking at me too. We'd smile at each other whenever we locked eyes, causing Harry to look at us in disgust.
Once in the common room I sit next to Hermione as we did our work and talking to Ron and Harry who were on the ground. "I think since most of us have only one class tomorrow, we should start looking for a place to hold the rest of the meetings in the castle" Ron says, I nudge his arm with my foot, making him look up at me. "I think that's a great idea" I chip in. "I'll meat up with you guys during my free periods" Hermione says.
Eventually Ron and I switched spots, overhearing as him and Hermione would bicker at each other. I look at Harry, catching him looking at me. I chuckle awkwardly before looking down at the book in my hands. "Sorry" Harry whispers. I look at him and shake my head as I scoot closer to him. "Stop that I just didn't think you were looking at me it caught me by surprise" He nods, smiling a bit. "Are you excited to work with Cho, Harry? She's really pretty and she seems nice" I say as I try breaking the tension. He sits up, nodding as he looks at the fire. "Yeah she's great, I think she'd be good in the team" Harry says, I look away from him for a moment. I knew that it was a matter of time they'd end up getting together. It was a fair game, she knew how to play and I didn't. Harry would only ever see me as friend and nothing else. And I've been growing to accept that.
