As I walked out I noticed Harry stayed behind. I really had no idea what I would've said to him if he did follow behind, it was for the best that he decided to let me walk out on my own.
I caught up with Ron and Hermione who were on their way to the great hall along with most of the student population here. They smiled at me awkwardly before getting back into their conversation.
"So you really think Fred and George are leaving after this year?" Hermione asked as we sat down on the table, catching both mine and Ron's attention.
"Wait they're leaving?" I asked in a surprised tone, though lets's be honest I shouldn't really be surprised.
"That's what they're saying but we're not sure if they're going to go through with it" Ron shrugged, turning towards the doors. Harry walked in, hesitating to sit with us but he ended up doing it. Ron and Hermione noticed us tense up, trying to avoid each other.
Hermione and I made eye contact before she looked over at Ron who was already looking at her, "So what are they going to do?" she asked.
"They're talking about opening up a shop on Diagon Alley, a joke shop or something like that" he responded, eyes lighting up as food appeared in front of us.
I laughed at him as he dug in, looking up to see Draco walk in. "excuse me" I said softly, catching Harry's eyes before walking away.
Once I reached to Draco I quickly took the scarf off, handing it over to him. He laughed as he looked at it, then at me.
"Come on take it, you almost got me into trouble with my friends" I nudged at him, smiling afterwards.
"Yeah Potter doesn't look too happy" he chuckled, taking the scarf. I looked back and saw Harry, making him look away. I looked down, then looked back up at Draco.
"I'll see you later?" I asked, watching as he gave a quick nod. He gently kissed my forehead, then let me walk away.
I sat down next to Hermione then began to eat.
After dinner we decided to go to the library to study as things were becoming more complicated in school. We all sat around a table in the back. Harry and I were still away from each other, trying to avoid contact. Hermione and Ron quickly picked that up as small whispers between them were exchanged.
"Alright I miss us being best friends so can you two fix whatever tension has built up so we can actually talk?" Ron whispered, pretty loudly. Harry and I looked at each other, sighing as I stood up.
"No, no leaving we're going to hear this too so we can all solve it" Hermione said as she pulled me back down.
"Fine" I started as I looked at her and Ron, then locking eyes with Harry. "I think it's completely unfair that you get to be flirty with other girls but the minute I like somebody else it's like the end of the world".
"First of all, I can't flirt" Harry said, making us laugh. "It's not the end of the world, I told you how I felt and it's totally okay if you don't feel the same way that I do".
"You can be so dense you know that? Of course I felt the same way but you were and are all over Cho I never made a move because I didn't want to ruin your happiness. Why do you want to ruin mine?"
It got silent quick. Everyone avoided making eye contact, it was something that I immediately regretted saying.
"I'm not trying to ruin your happiness Y/n. I'm sorry if you think that way. I want you to be happy. I love you that much that although it kills me to see you happy with somebody else I don't mind living with it".
He grabbed his things and walked out quickly. Ron and Hermione looked at each other for a second before they both looked at me. I covered my face and sighed, standing up and chasing after him.
Once I caught up to him I took his hand gently, pulling him towards me. We locked eyes for a second, "I need some time to think" I spoke softly.
