Once herbology ended Hermione, Ron, and I walked Harry to Umbridge's class, standing outside of the door before he had to go in. Once Harry walked in we all look at each other eventually having Hermione speak up. "I'm going to the Great Hall to do some work do you guys want to come with?" Hermione asks, looking at Ron and I for responses. Ron nods as he looked at Hermione, "I'll go with". They both then look at me, I shake my head "No I'm going to the library, I made plans with Dean to study" I said, giving a reassuring smile. They nod then walk away. I turned around once I knew that they were gone, walking over to the wall, sliding down to sit down. I look up at the clock, sighing as I knew this would take a while. I took my work out and began to answer some of the questions that Umbridge had left us to do. 

After an hour I heard the door open, I quickly stand up, Harry looking at me surprised that I was there. "y/n I didn't think you'd be here" He said, pulling his sleeve down as if he were hiding something. I shrugged it off, not wanting to bother him, I'd ask him about it eventually. 

"Yeah, I was just passing by I figured you'd be out soon so I waited" I smiled, shrugging as he gave a nod. "Anyways, Harry we should be heading over for dinner soon. If you want, I can help you with the work afterwards?" I say as I grab my book bag from the ground, putting it over my shoulder. I look up at him and smile as he smiles back, "That would be perfect, thank you y/n". I nod and turn around, starting to walk over to the Great Hall for dinner. 

"Stop questioning him Hermione detention with Umbridge probably wasn't even that bad" Ron said as we all ate, Hermione asking Harry countless of questions about detention of course. "I'm finer Hermione she just had me write lines, that's all" Harry said, giving Hermione a reassuring smile. I look at Harry giving him a soft smile before looking over at Ginny. 

Ginny and I were fairly close since she started Hogwarts. I scoot over closer to her, making her light up before we begin to talk. Of course I knew that she has feelings for Harry which made me feel like a horrible friend. "So have you talked to Luna recently?" Ginny asks, making me shake my head in response, "No, I feel bad I feel like it's been so long since I've talked to her" I say before turning to look at Luna who was sitting at the Ravenclaw table. Ginny and I continue to talk about classes and about her family, who I then realized were letting my parents stay with them for a while. No wonder they haven't written. 

After dinner we walked to the common room, Harry and I sitting near the fire with Ron and Hermione sitting on the couch as they talked about god knows what. Harry was a quick learner so it wasn't hard for me to explain the work that was given to us. "I wish we could actually learn defensive spells Harry, this whole thing just sucks I hate it" I groan as I lean my arm against the desk, looking up at Harry who was looking right back at me. He nods, understanding where I was coming from. Harry knew that learning through textbooks wasn't going to help us and he tried to prove Umbridge wrong but of course it lead him into trouble. "I know y/n but what's there to do about it? We just have to suck it up" he said in response. I nod and look at the fire, "Have you talked to Sirius recently?" I asked, glancing up at him for a moment. "Yeah, I wrote to him not too long along. I explained how I was feeling, I haven't gotten anything back yet" He said as I tilted my head to watch him speak. "Have you talked to him about moving in with him?" He shook his head, "Not since we helped him escape from here. He's still in hiding and I don't want to pressure him into anything, I don't know I wish I could live with him. He's my godfather and things would be so much easier if I were able to" He sighs afterwards, I simply just nod and place a hand on his shoulder. "I'm sure things would settle in better Harry" I whisper before pulling my hand away from him. 

Eventually we joined back in with Hermione and Ron, talking about the upcoming Hogsmeade trip. We made plans on where to go and then Hermione came up with yet another brilliant idea, "What if we start something, almost like a club? Just having to do with defense against the dark arts" We all shot up, smiling as we looked at each other but then Harry shook his head. "I don't know you guys, who would even teach?" he asked as he looked at Ron then at me. "We'll figure that out later mate, but that's a brilliant idea Hermione" Ron said as he looked at Hermione with a small tint of pink on her cheeks.  "I'll talk to some people who may be interested on going to the meeting, you guys focus on where the meeting will take place and who will teach" I say as I stand up, putting my stuff away in my book bag. "I'm exhausted though, I think I'll be heading to bed now" I say as I look at the three, watching as Harry stood up. "I'll walk you up" he said, making me smile before nodding.

I say goodnight to Ron and Hermione then turn to look at Harry, we walked up the steps, turning around to face him when we reached the top. I look at him and notice how close we actually were to each other. "I'll see you in the morning Harry" I say as I wrap my arms around him, feeling his wrap around me too. He smelled nice, sweet but not too sweet. I closed my eyes as we stayed this way for a moment before we pulled away, "goodnight y/n" he says before I turn around to open the door. I turn once more to smile at him before walking in, closing the door. The smile on my face stayed as I got ready for bed and the rest of the girls seemed to notice it too. They questioned why I was smiling so much and I just shrugged it off. Once I was read for bed I decided to write to my parents. I grab my parchment and quill, walking over to the desk that was near the window. I call my owl to come over towards me, sitting on the table once she got there. I smiled, petting her before giving her a treat.

" Mum and Dad,

     I haven't heard from you guys in a while, how are you? Things are going okay here at Hogwarts. Unfortunately Harry and I already got a detention with Snape but it was whatever. Classes are fine but more boring. We have a new Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor and she is horrible. I mean it. Her name is Professor Umbridge I'm sure you both have heard of her before. She treats Harry horribly, I want to stand up for him but I promised myself I wouldn't get into much trouble this year. Anyways, I miss you both so much. Ginny told me you both are staying with the Weasley's for a bit. I miss it there, tell them I said hello. It's getting late though, I should be getting some rest.

I sealed the letter, giving o/n another treat before placing the letter in her mouth. "Give this to mum and dad as soon as possible" I whisper, noticing how some of the girls were asleep. I open the window slightly, letting her fly away. I smile as I watch her disappear within minutes. I closed the window then headed over to my bed, laying down as I felt myself slowly fall asleep.
