CHAPTER SEVEN

"House party in the suburbs." May had pulled over in front of Liz's house entrance. "Oh, I remember these. Kind of jealous."

"It'll be a night to remember." Ned said from the backseat, right next to (Y/N) whom had a backpack in his lap containing his suit.

"Ned, some hats wear men." May turned to compliment the chubby boy, "You wear that hat."

"Yeah, it gives me confidence." Ned smiled.

Peter who was sitting in the passenger's seat let out a big breath. "This is a mistake. Hey, let's go home."

"Oh, Peter." His aunt placed a hand on his shoulders, "I know. I know it's really hard trying to fit in with all the changes your body's going through. It's flowering now."

The alien boy let out a chuckle which caused the spider-bitten boy to whine in embarassment due to his aunt.

"He's so stressed out lately."

"What helps with stress is a party." Ned voice, encouraging Peter.

"Gotta say, Ned's right. You should party, Petey." A new nickname rolled on your tongue which caused said boy to blush.

"Yeah, let's do it. I'm gonna go." Peter opened the door as Ned and (Y/N) followed suit.

"Peter. Have fun, okay?"

"I will." The boy nodded.

May turned from Peter to (Y/N). "You are really rocking those glasses, (N/N)."

(Y/N) smirk at that, "What can I say? It's a part of my charm."

May waved goodbye to the three teens as they waved back at her and they all started walking to the entrance.

"Ready?" You asked at the two.

"Ready." They nodded.

You opened the door and music was" blasting with Flash in the DJ booth. Willa came with Liz in tow as they greeted the newly arrived boys.

"Hi, Ned. Hi, Peter. Hi, (Y/N)." Liz greeted.

"Yo." You waved.

"Hi, Liz." Both Peter and Ned said simultaneously.

"I'm so glad you guys came. There's pizza and drinks." Just then a crash was heard, "I better go sort that out. My parents are gonna be mad. Have fun." She waved goodbye at them as she went to clean the mess.

"Hey, losers." The four that were left behind turned and saw MJ spreading butter on her toast. "Didn't expect you came to this lame party."

"Aren't you here?" Ned asked, confused.

"Am I, though?" She narrowed her eyes and took a bite.

You had realized that someone wasn't here or someone's'. "Hey, where is Harry and Axel?"

Willa bursted out laughing and clasped (Y/N)'s shoulder, "I really shouldn't say this but they're getting it on in the bathroom." She laughed.

Your face scrunched up in disgust along with Peter and Ned at the mention of your friends activities.

"Wait, Harry and Axel?" Peter questioned, forgetting of what Willa had said.

"Yeah, they were like in the hallway and then I saw them sucking each other faces all the way to the bathroom." Willa stopped her laughing, "You shouldn't really see what those two are up to."

"Who even said we will?" You asked, sarcastically.

"Penis Parker, what's up? Where's your pal, Spider-Man? Let me guess: In Canada with your imaginary girlfriend?" Flash even used sound effects for comedic purposes and everyone started laughing except for you, Willa, and Ned. "That's not Spider-Man. That's Ned in a red shirt."

And after that, Peter had left because of public humiliation and embarrassment. You saw a plastic bottle in the kitchen counter filled with water and you immediately threw it at Flash, hitting him in the forehead that caused him to collapse on the floor and everyone stared at you.

"Just practicing my baseball skills!" You shouted and went after Peter.

You went outside and started looking for Peter, and see him talking to himself on a roof of a garage. Your heart clenched of how he was practically humiliated by Flash.

"Hey, what's up? I'm Spider-Man. Just thought I'd swing by and say hi to my buddy, Peter. Oh, what's up Ned? Hey, where's Peter anyway? He must be around..." He suddenly sat down with his mask in his hands, "Gosh, what am I doing?"

"Something you shouldn't be doing, Peter." You said, floating besides him.

"Oh, hey (Y/N)." He said.

"Peter, just don't listen to what Flash has been saying. You know that's not all true. He's practically jealous of how awesome and great you are." You said, honestly.

"I just want... I just want people to see that I'm more than a nerd."

You put your arms on his shoulder and pulled him to your side, "Hey, if they don't see you more than a nerd then that's their problem. What I see is a cute guy whose great and awesome."

Peter look at you and your faces were practically inches apart. But neither of you had the will to move away but even neither of you wanted to move away. Your words had meant something to Peter and those words is so special that he'll treasure it.

The moment was ruined when an explosion of blue energy was heard in the background and the two boys snapped their heads to the horizon.

"Spider-Man?"

"What about you, though?"

"Wait a sec." You immediately dashed inside Liz's house at incredible speeds that made wind blew at Peter's face and you came back with your suit on. "Shouldn't have went to the bathroom."

"You saw it?"

"Yeah...."
