CHAPTER TWELVE

It was Saturday and next week's Wednesday will be the day of the Homecoming and ever since of what happened in Hudson River had left Peter feeling down on the dumps. You wanted to cheer him up but you remember that you were gonna ask Tony to buy a suit for the dance but you're pretty sure that Tony doesn't wanna talk to you for the time being and so you called someone that has been so close to you and another parent figure of yours.

"Hello, Pepper?" You asked on the other line.

"Hi, (Y/N) sweetie. How are you? I heard about what happened." Pepper's motherly voice is heard on the other line and it made you feel safe.

"I'm okay, Pepper but I don't think Peter but that's besides of what I wanted to say." You said, "Hey, Pepper. Can you please buy me a suit for the Homecoming?"

"Of course, sweetie. Simple or like Tony's style?"

"I want the simple yet classy." You replied.

"All right, I'll have Happy to send it to you."

"Thanks... Mom." You had wanted to said it to Pepper for a long time and you can feel that on the other line that Pepper's face softened and smiled at that.

"Your welcome, (Y/N)." She ended the call and then you wore usual attire when going out and locked the door when you were outside of your room.

You knocked on the Parker's residence and it opened revealing May with a smile on her face when she saw you.

"Oh, hi (Y/N). What brings you here?"

"I was hoping that me and Peter could hang out for awhile. Is he there?"

"Oh, yes. I heard from him that he lost the internship. I was sad about it." May said and you nodded.

"Yeah, Dad said that Peter needs a break but he'll think of letting join back." You lied but it was only to make the young Aunt feel better.

"I see. Why don't you go knock on his room. I'm gonna go to the Hospital now, see you guys later." May waved goodbye at you when she grab her bag and close the door.

You called goobye to her before walking towards Peter's bedroom door and knock on it.

"I'm not hungry, May." You heard Peter shouted.

"I'm not May. I'm incredibly handsome, alluring and more beautiful than adonis, (Y/N)." You said, snickering at what you said but you were raised by Tony, so you got a little confidence going on at that facial features of yours.

You heard shuffling in the door and then Peter flew the door open and had a hint of red in his cheeks because he was only wearing boxers.

"As much as I would like to stare at that ass, all day. Wanna hang out?" You asked.

Peter blushed at the earlier sentence, "Uh, yeah... Sure." He then close the door while you waited patiently for him and he opened it wearing his usual attire would be.

"You ready?"

"I'm ready."

The two of you were in a cafe that you always go on weekends due to it's very delicious pie.

"You have a date on Homecoming?" You asked which caused Peter to widen his eyes.

"Huh? I-I mean, No." He said which caused you to snicker.

"That's good because I thought the cutest guy is taken away from me." You sighed in relief while you teasingly said that.

Peter blushed profusely and continued eating his strawberry shortcake. You paid the food with one of Tony's credit card. Yeah, Tony let you used one his credit cards. So you have some cash with ya.

"If you don't mind, I wanna show something to you." You said.

"Really?"

"Yeah." You nodded.

After the two of you finished your desserts, you saw it was getting nighttime. You grabbed his hand and the two of you walk in the alleyway.

"Do you trust me, Peter?"

"Uh, yes?"

"Do you really trust me?"

"Yes."

"Alright, I want you to wrap you arms around my neck." The instruction you gave him made him blush but he slowly wrap his arms around your neck but that made him stand on his tippy toes to do so, "Hang on tight because we're gonna fly. Gently, this time."

He nodded and you slowly raised your head before soaring into the sky. Peter had his eyes close and this made you smile.

"Open your eyes, Peter."

Peter slowly opened his eye and his mouth opened in awe as he saw how beautiful New York is at night and the view up in the sky made it even better.

"Wow... It's so beautiful..." He said.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah..." Peter then laid his head on your shoulder while you grip his waist in one hand while the other was outstretched and balled into a fist, "Thanks, (Y/N), for showing me this."

"No problem. I just wanna say I like you, Pete."

Peter look at you, incredulously before taking a deep breath and gave you a kiss in the cheeks that caused you to widen your eyes and blush pink.

"I like you too, (Y/N)." He giggled, "You're very cute when you blush."

"Not as cute as that ass of yours." You smirked and laughed when he smacked your shoulder.

"Hey! That's inappropriate!"
