Chapter 41: Aye aye, captain

The Library was occupied by several students, most of them actually studying while others tried calming themselves by the fact that they were in there, but failed to actually study and just stared at nothingness instead, feeling nervous about the upcoming exams.

Katherine had both of her hands in her dark brown hair, glaring at the books in front of her.

"Fluxweed. A magical plant, member of the mustard family. It is known for its healing properties. When picked at new –, no, when picked at full moon, yes, full moon, it could be used in the making of Polyjuice Potion. Fifteen... No, it's sixteen, sixteen scruples are needed to make that potion, it's sixteen, sixteen..." She mumbled to herself.

Draco gave her a side glance, not sure if she was still sane or not. Since she started spending even more time with studying and in the Library in general, he decided that he would join her, but after seeing the state she was in, he started doubting if that was a good idea.

"Sixteen scruples, full moon, sixteen scruples, full moon..."

"Kat," the Slytherin placed a hand on her thigh, making her snap her head towards him.

"Sixteen scruples and full moon, I know!" She nodded aggressively.

"Katherine, snap out of it," he waved his other hand in front of her face.

She just closed her eyes and pretended that he wasn't even there.

"Fluxweed. A magical plant, member of –"

The blonde rolled his eyes, then pressed his lips against hers to silence her, not caring about the fact that they were in the Library.

Thankfully it didn't take long for the Hufflepuff to realise what happened and pushed him away quickly.

"Draco," she said in a hushed voice. "Not here."

"Why not?" He smirked, leaning closer. "No one's here right now, but the fact that someone could appear at any minute only makes it more fun."

"Absolutely not," she protested.

"Good," he leaned back, satisfied. "You're back to your sane self. You're welcome."

"Huh?" She tilted her head to the side.

"You kept chanting the same thing, I had to wake you up somehow," he shrugged.

"Oh," she looked down sheepishly. "I'm sorry, I'm just really anxious about the exams, I want to make sure that I'm prepared."

"It seems like you are to me," he smiled lightly.

"I know that I basically use all my free time to study now, but I can't help it! I would feel guilty if I didn't!"

"I understand, Kat," he nodded while he started caressing her thigh in an attempt to comfort her.

She glanced down at his hand as a shiver ran down her spine, then she cleared her throat and turned her attention back to the book in front of her.

The Slytherin did the same, but his hand kept stroking her thigh and it started going higher and higher without him even realising, but the girl did. Not only did she notice, but that was the only thing she could focus on.

Katherine didn't want to interrupt him, because she could see that he was actually reading his book from the corner of her eye, only his hand seemed to have a will of its own. She decided that she would stay silent, so she bit down on her lower lip and squinted her eyes, trying her best to understand the words on the page while cursing herself for wearing a skirt.

Somehow her eyes closed against her will as his hand kept stroking her skin, however, when his fingers brushed against a certain part of her, she couldn't keep quiet anymore.
