Spider-Man x Michelle Jones

Chapter 17

Peter swung into Central Park to the sight of the two veteran Avengers back to back and fighting off a horde of Hydra soldiers. "Okay," says Peter as he perches on a tree over looking the scene, "Time to activate the screamers."

Spider-Man jumps down between Winter Soldier, Scott and the Hydra goons, "Nice to see you left me some bad guys to beat up!" yelled Peter  as he slammed an armored fist into the face of a Hydra soldier sending him flying backwards and knocking over ten other soldiers, "STRIKE!"

"Well we thought you would want to join in on the fun!" replied Scott as he threw a disc shrinking down a hydra soldier to the size of a toddler and kicking him in the face. Two SUV's arrive and more Hydra goons jump out to join the fray. "SCOTT. BUCKY COVER YOUR EARS!" shouted Spider-Man. They both nodded and placed their hands over their ears as Spider-Man held up his palm and his hand emitted a loud screeching sound that made every Hydra soldier collapse and hold onto their ears in pain, though most passed out.

Once he was sure they were down he released his hold on them and turned to the two Avengers, "Okay we're all good here." Scott hesitantly lowered his hands as did Bucky and they both looked around at the incapacitated Hydra soldiers. Bucky looks to Scott, "We should have called him in before we started fighting." Scott nodded, "Agreed."

Spider-Man was about to speak when his Spider Sense went off alerting him to danger. He flipped out of the way in time as a bullet bounced off of the ground. The three Avengers look around for the source but another bullet hits the ground just in front of their feet. Peter holds up hi left hand and a hard-light force field appeared in the shape of a web and extended to cover the other two Avengers. The bullets started flying and striking the sheild but it didn't make a difference the shield still stood.

"Bucky we need to find out who is shooting at us," says Spider-Man, "Any ideas?"

"No need," says a voice in front of them. A man wearing a skull mas and hood walked forwards with his gun aimed directly at them and a shield similar to Captain America's held tightly in his hand, "The name is Task Master...and I am here to end the bug once and for all."

"Good luck with that," says Spider-Man as he drops the shield and launches forwards attempting to strike the Task Master, but he was too good and managed to block all of the attacks that Spider-Man had launched on him. Bucky started shooting at the Task Master but he deflected the shot with a shield sending the bullet into Scott's leg making him yell out in pain before falling down. Bucky attempted to join Spider-Man in fighting the Task Master but was promptly defeated when the Task Master threw the shield and it struck Bucky in the face knocking him out.

Spider-Man let out a yell of outrage before continuing his barrage of attacks. Task Master sent a powerful kick into the abdomen of Spider-Man sending him flying backwards. Spider-Man however simply flipped and landed on his feet ready to fight again.

"I'll give you credit Spider-Man. You got more skill than those two idiots combined. But this is over for you," says Task Master as he readies himself to fight. "Just what I was gonna say," snarls Spider-Man, "But you don't know all my tricks."

Spider-Man holds out his palm and a repulsor blast strikes the Task Master sending him crashing into a tree. Spider-Man shoots a web to stick him to the tree but he rolled out of the way. Spider-Man doesn't give up and shoots another repulsor blast at Task Master, but this time he was ready and he deflected the blast with his shield returning it to its source. Spider-Man was blasted off of his feet and his suit instantly shut down from the force of the blast.

He could only watch helplessly as Task Master stood over him with his gun pointed directly at his head, "This bullet is made of vibranium. So that stupid suit of yours ain't gonna do shit to stop it." Peter closed his eyes readying himself for death. "Didn't anyone ever tel you not to take a cat's toy away from her," yelled a voice.
