Heads turned away from her and quickly whispered to their friends. Cassiopeia was used to the students of Hogwarts moving away from her, she was even used to them gossiping about her family, but this was different as they knew something that she did not.

As she walked into the Great Hall, a frown formed as students went quiet and stared at her. Narcissa watched her carefully, as though she was warning her not to react. The Marauders followed her every move, curious to see how she responded. Modesty passed her the latest edition of the Daily Prophet and everything fell into place. Cassiopeia quickly read the headline about the brutal murder of a muggle family and although she would not be convicted, it was almost certainly the work of Bellatrix Lestrange. Her face remained straight, she was not surprised as she knew Bellatrix's descent into madness had begun long ago and that this was only the beginning.

From down the table, she overheard a group discuss the article. As she hadn't read it in whole, her face collapsed into despair as she learned that two of the victims had been children. Innocent children aged four and one. Before anyone could witness her break, she fled.

James had to hold Sirius back as they watched Narcissa march out after her sister.

"Cassiopeia," Her sister's strong voice made her stop, "Cassiopeia, you have to pretend this does not affect you."

"Why?" She spun around so she was facing her sister, "They were innocent children, Cissy. She killed children. Why would she do that?"

"They were muggles."

"So? They hadn't done anything to her? Hell, I bet none of their family was even a witch or wizard."

"You don't know that," Narcissa told her, "You know how Bella feels about muggles."

Cassiopeia scoffed before saying, "Bella is beyond redemption."

Narcissa moved closer towards her, "Do not let anyone hear you talk about her like that. As sisters we must all stick together, Cassie, we have to."

Cassiopeia wanted to scream as loudly as she could, but instead she looked away from her sister before saying as harshly as she could, "I used to think that when I had three sisters, but now I only have two."

"Cassiopeia!" Narcissa called out but Cassiopeia quickly ran away, eager to be alone. She had lost the sister she had loved the most, and now the oldest was a murderer, and Narcissa wanted to protect her. Cassiopeia, however did not want to protect a madwoman but knew she was powerless in the situation.
