The only source of light in Cassiopeia's room was the moonlight that poured in from her open window. A gentle breeze softly blew back her hair as she stared up at James in admiration. His arm was wrapped around her waist as the two dance slowly together. Music quietly floated into her room as another Beatles song began on his record player.

"I've got to say, they are growing on me," Cassiopeia whispered.

"I knew they would," James replied with a smile, "They are the best band there has ever been."

She chuckled, "I wouldn't go that far!"

"Stop trying to wind me up!"

Cassiopeia giggled before resting her forehead against his, "I am scared, James."

"I know. So am I."

She tightened her grip on his arm as she quietly told him, "What's going to happen to us all? Hogwarts has kept us safe for seven years. Without it we are vulnerable. We will be alone in the world, where anything can happen."

"We have each other. The rest of the Marauders too. We will look after each other."

Cassiopeia let out a sigh, "We are going to lose people we love. It is inevitable."

"I know," James replied sadly, "Try not to think about it just yet, Cass. We are still at Hogwarts. We love each other and we have loyal friends, we are going to be okay."

"Not everyone remains loyal in war."

"I know my friends though," James told her, "They would never betray me. None of us would betray each other."

Cassiopeia smiled sadly, "I fear very dark times are approaching."

"We are going to defeat him, Cass. We have to."

"I love you," Cassiopeia whispered to him.

James grinned at her, "I love you too."
