FOUR; MY HAPPY PLACE

THE SUNLIGHT DANCED into the room gently, lighting us up like fireworks. This was my favourite time of the day - sunrise. It wasn't that I didn't enjoy nightfall but everything was so much more beautiful in this light. Including Jasper, who currently had his arm wrapped round me as he closed his eyes, taking in the warm glow that was a rare feeling for us.

Edward and Bella had left last night at their wedding, they would be home in a week or so. It would be nice to not be on the edge all the time with how clumsy she is, and now that Bella is transitioning she'll be as strong as us.

"What do you think they're up to?" I half whispered, breaking the comfortable silence.

He smiled, keeping his eyes closed and his hand around me. "I think you know what they're up to"

He was right. It was still weird to think about and I definitely didn't want to imagine. I was very glad I couldn't hear Bella or Edwards thoughts because when they got home I'd need to train to drown them out like I do with Emmett and Rose. "Yeah you're right, this is so exciting though don't you think?"

"What part?" His chest moves as he chuckles.

"Duh! Bella becoming a vampire. I for one, can't wait to go hunting with her"

"Do you not like going with Rose, Alice and Esme?"

Shaking my head slightly. "It's not that I don't enjoy hunting with them, but Alice is too agile for me - I get lost. Rose is dead scary when she catches something and I'd rather not see a baby deer get it's full dead thrown across the forest. Esme doesn't really come out with us but when she does we're always compared to Carlisle" I started laughing, blatantly insulting everyone in this house.

"I mean, you're definitely correct on that one" He joined in on the laughs. "You should come hunting with me again"

Okay, let's set things straight. I had been hunting with Jasper very few times - there was a reason for this. Even though I was a vampire, I still wasn't as fit as the others, and when Jasper hunted he goes all army mode and it's scary. He's my little jellybean when we're together but out there he's absolutely a killing machine.

"The way you hunt scares me, you're very aggressive Mr Hale"

He raised an eyebrow, turning to me. "I thought you liked when I was aggressive hmm?"

I started stuttering and he laughed, launching himself towards me, fake growling and throwing me over him. I couldn't contain my shrieks as he tickled my tummy and continued to pretend to growl. "Jasper nooo!" My hands flailed as I tried to get up.

I stood to my feet. "No - stop. Not fair. You know I don't like being tickled"

He fell back, grabbing his stomach laughing. "That was so funny!"

I was scared we were going to get another angry text from the household about being too loud. "We're not having a repeat of a few days ago!"

He sat up. "Hey how was I meant to know somebody was in the house?"

"You said they were all hunting. We're vampires, we should have heard someone. So embarrassed"

Bringing himself to his feet, he walked over to his dresser and stuck on a shirt. "Sorry, my senses were a little bit preoccupied"

I gasped and grabbed a pillow, launching it at him. "Hey mister! You're too cheeky for your own good sometimes" I was right.

"And you are too beautiful for my own good"

He was always making me blush. How does he do it? Far too smooth. "I know" I smiled and laughed at him. "You always know what to say"

"Let's get downstairs, I heard Alice say she seen a whole family of deer in the woods last night" Now that was exciting.

I jumped and made my way towards the door excitedly. "Yes!"

"Scar" he stopped me. "You going down like that?"

I looked down to see that I was still only wearing his shirt from the wedding yesterday. "You're right, I'll change"

He laughed and nodded. "Good plan"

Hiii! This is obviously just a filler chapter so you can see what Scarlett and Jasper are getting up to while Bella and Edward are gettin it onnn. The next chapter will be when they're all together again & will be updated in the next day.
