"She's added a new member to their team, the boy, with blue highlights." A female's voice echoed through the dim room, the only source of light was the sunlight seeping through the large window.

A menacing chuckle bounced off the cement walls, making the sound distorted, "Find information on him. I will stop at nothing to get another miraculous. Did Ladybug really think he was capable of guarding a powerful miraculous? He's a weakling, he is the key to defeating Ladybug and Chat Noir!"

"We could use Adrien, he is good friends with the weakling." The lady clutched her iPad tightly,  waiting for her master's response. The man turned to her, "Yes, when's their photoshoot?"

"On Friday, sir. 5 days from now."

"Perfect, we will strike on that day. They will never see it coming." He let out a hearty cackle, "Nooroo, dark wings rise!" A blinding purple light illuminated the room, alerting all of Paris something evil was coming their way.

"I'm doing it today, Tikki. I'm finally doing it, I promise." Marinette declared as she shoved her letter into her purse, giving her kwami a confident look. Her kwami silently sighed, "It's not that I don't believe in you but, this is the millionth time you've told me-"

"563rd time."

"Marinette, you can't keep doing this. Even if he doesn't like you the same way, you have to know that you are an amazing person, Marinette! You're Ladybug! You can go through anything and you won't be defeated. Please Marinette, promise me you will never forget that."

The bluenette smiled at her kwami, "I promise, thank you. Get in, I need to get going." Tikki flew into her handbag as Marinette ran to her school. She glanced at the clock as she ran towards the building, she was late, again.

She dashed up the stairs to her classroom to find her teacher already marking the roll. Marinette felt obliged to apologize for her tardiness but as she glanced at a certain blonde, she was reminded of her mission. She sucked in a breath and silently stalked to her seat behind Adrien.

She dug her hand in her handbag, searching for her letter, not hearing her teacher when she called out her name. "Marinette, Miss Bustier is calling your name!" Her best friend whispered. Marinette snapped her head up as she felt her whole class staring at her.

Her face went pink as she stuttered, "Y-Yes miss. I-I'm here." Her teacher smiled, "I know Marinette, but you know our school doesn't tolerate tardiness. This is your ninetieth time you're late, I don't want to do this, but I need to send you to the principal's office. I fear that you're dealing with an issue."

A sob threatened to escape her throat. She couldn't be sent to the principal, she had to regain her reputation after the two times she had already been sent there. She felt a pair of emerald eyes boring into her forehead and she bowed her head down. "I'm sorry Miss Bustier, I can't promise I won't be late again but I will try my hardest. Promise."

Her teacher gave her a gentle smile, gentle enough to reassure Marinette. "Okay, I trust you. But if you're late one more time, I'm afraid I'm going to have to do something." Then she went on with the notices for the day.

"That was close, you can't be late again." Alya nudged her best friend. Marinette sighed, "I know, but I'm always so busy and-"

"Why are you such an overachiever? Girl, you need time for yourself." Alya looked straight ahead before they would both get in trouble for talking in class. Marinette thought about Alya's words but she knew she wouldn't ever have time to herself, not as long as she was Ladybug.

The bell rang, cueing their break. Marinette nearly jumped out of her seat and now she knew it was time. She nervously shifted on her feet and her hands were sweating. Her best friend noticed her behaviour.
