Marinette blinked the blue light out of her eyes and when she opened them, she was taken aback by what she was seeing in front of her. She gaped at the room in front of her.  Well, she didn't know if it was a room, it seemed unreal to her as if only her mental state was present.

She was back in the Burrow.

She remembered coming here as Ladybug to go into the future to stop Chat Blanc. Marinette had not planned on coming here again, especially now that she didn't have her miraculous anymore.

"You weren't supposed to come with us," Bunnyx turned to her with a frown. Bunnyx raised her eyebrow, just about to say something else.

Marinette opened her mouth to speak but Luka stepped in for her. "Can't she just leave with after I go back to where I'm supposed to be? It's not going to be for long anyway," He pointed out.

Bunnyx crossed her arms. "Fine, she'll disappear after we're done anyway. Not explaining, we don't have much time..." She looked at her with a clouded expression. But Marinette could see the hidden glint in her eyes as if she knew why she had come along with them.

Marinette was going to thank Luka when she realised she was still gripping his hand from when they went in. Her face went pink as her hand shot away from his hand, trying to swallow back a nervous laugh.

She avoided his eyes, pretending she was fascinated by the timelines constantly playing a moment in time. She focused on one with an alien aircraft.

Bunnyx ignored what had happened and started walking up the sphere. She paced ahead with a limp as her leg was translucent now. She looked around her as if looking for a certain timeline "It's this way, you got to keep up or we'll-"

Black dots started clouding Marinette's vision and the circular room they were in was spinning around her. Her head suddenly felt light and it spun as if her neck couldn't support it anymore. Marinette gripped her stomach when a wave of nausea hit her.

She reached out for something to support her but a force caused her feet to give way. She could only wince when she saw the floor spiralling towards her face.

She probably blacked out for a moment because when she opened her eyes again she saw two burry faces lurking above her. Marinette only tilted her head slightly forward to get a better view of them but her head started pounding.

Marinette groaned as she brought up a hand to her temples, trying to blink out the tears in her eyes from the pain. She couldn't look weak in front of them, especially at such a limited time with Bunnyx rapidly fading away.

Their voices sounded distorted but she could make out enough words to figure out what they were saying.

"What is going on with her? Is she ok?" Luka asked Bunnyx in a fearful voice.

Bunnyx eyed the sick girl lying on the floor and with a deadpan expression settling on her face, she responded, "She's mixed up in between timelines, she's originally from the future so with you doing this, the future is uncertain, if you know what I mean. Time is confusing if you haven't spent as much time exploring timelines as I do."

"Is there anything we can do?" Luka pressed, looking back and forth between them, making sure if Marinette was still conscious.

"Yes, you can hurry up and fix your timeline. It's somewhere close by... I just got to sense it."

"But what about Marinette?"

"She'll be fine, just come with me." She brisked ahead with a determined look plastered on her face.

With a gasp, Marinette realised even with her head spinning that Bunnyx was fully translucent. She herself was flickering in and out like a broken light bulb. She would look down to find her body transparent and boom, it was solid.

Marinette made a mental note to never mess with time, at all.

Gathering all her strength to tried to wheeze out some words to assure Luka that she was going to be alright. "Go, I'll...be...fine!" She winced at the last word and let her head fall back as it started throbbing much more.

She reached for his hand and squeezed it, trying to give him the motivation to go.

Luka gave her a forced smile, "Well this is goodbye again I guess? Just don't follow me there this time."

Marinette smiled back at him and suppressed a chuckle remembering how urgent their situation was. She shook his hand reminding him of what he needed to do.

He may have not liked it but he stood up and with a glance, he went to stand behind Bunnyx.

She was standing in front of one of the windows muttering to herself. When Luka approached, she took her hand off and with a piercing look she confirmed, "This is the one you need to go through."

Marinette saw Luka suck in a deep breath.

She let out a breath she didn't know she was holding and smiled after him with a tint of sadness. At least he won't have to deal with the previous mess.

She looked at the windows above her, wanting to rest her head when a feeling stabbed through her mind and she no longer felt sick.

Her mind was clear.

In a snap, the throbbing subdued and she no longer felt nauseous.

This would've meant Luka fixed things right?

Right?

But she looked down realising she was still there. She could still pinch herself. Marinette sat up in confusion, she wasn't supposed to be in the Burrow. If the timelines were fixed, she would've disappeared.

Unless...

Her questions were answered when a panicked voice crept into her train of thought.

"Marinette?"

She whirled to him, not feeling dizzy or feeling any pain.

His eyes were wide at a spot on the floor in front of him as if he had seen a ghost.

"What Luka? Why... What happened?"

Luka looked up at her, fear creeping into his eyes.

"Bunnyx... It was too late. She disappeared."
