Rouge Eyes

Part 22

Sohyul woke up in an unfamiliar room. Afraid with a bad headache she looked around to figure out where she was and that's when she saw a picture frame on the bedside table. She quickly gave it a look and concluded that she was in Yohan's room. The picture was of a younger Yohan being hugged by what she assumed was his brother and dad. She smiled and wondered where his mom was.

Knowing she was safe with him, she relaxed in his bed when the door opened and a other person came in.

"Oh! I'm sorry! Did I wake you up?!" Sohyul bit her lip, unsure of what to say to the unfamiliar person and just shook her head. That's when the person yelled "YOHAN THE GIRL'S AWAKE!" The person narrowed his eyes at her and walked out of the room letting Yohan in.

"Sorry about that. He's my older brother Rohan, he's pretty immature. Did he do anything to you?" Sohyul shook her head again. "Why am I here anyways?" Yohan answered "Oh you must be startled about waking up in my room." Sohyul shrugged. "Not really."

Yohan nodded, that was a good sign she trusted him. "You were super drunk yesterday. I ended up bringing you to my home which happened to be across the street from the bar you and Perry were at." Sohyul sighed. "Oh.."

Breaking the awkward silence, Yohan said "School starts in 2 hours, you think you can go?" Sohyul shook her head. "I have a really bad hangover..I'll go tomorrow" Yohan nodded. "Well I washed your clothes over there if you want to change.." Yohan pointed to the neatly folded clothes laying on his desk.

Sohyul awkwardly greeted Yohan's brother and the man sitting at the dining table as she walked out of the room to find Yohan.

"Come sit with us!" Yohan's older brother said to her, she just nodded and obeyed him. Then he said, lending a hand to her. "I haven't properly introduced myself... I'm Lee Rohan. Yohan's older brother." Sohyul shook his hand. "Sohyul...." Unsure of what to address herself as she just said her name, keeping her last name unknown. They let go of each other's hand and Rohan cleared his throat being the outgoing guy he is continued to say "This is our dad. He doesn't talk much..." Sohyul nodded, now wondering where the 2 guys got their outgoing nature from because it definitely wasn't from their dad.

A few minutes later, Yohan walked into the kitchen with two bowls of soup. One for him and the other to help her hangover. "Where's my bowl of soup?!" His brother exclaimed and Yohan just stuck his tongue out at him. His brother pouted when his dad told him to get it himself.

"So you met my brother and dad? We're they nice to you?" Sohyul looked at the atmosphere, receiving desperate looks from his family to say something good and nodded. "See Yohan! What do you take me and dad for?" Yohan shrugged and glared at them, knowing exactly what would happen if he left her alone with them for too long.

In the elevator, going to the parking lot was a quiet ride. Sohyul didn't know what to say and Yohan was worried something about his life might slip off his tongue if he initiates a conversation about his family.

"Hey Yohan?" Yohan looked at her alarmed and she slips a small laugh, covering it up with a cough. "Breathe alright? Anyways your family was nice... I just had a question and I don't want to offend you with it but where is your mom?" Yohan chuckles at the question, despite the heavy feeling in his chest. He had no interest in explaining his complicated family issues.
