Witch or Human?

Entry 8

Today was probably the CRAZIEST day of my life!! I was minding my own business when I heard a huge bang in our school! And strangely, nobody reacted - As if they never heard a bang in the first place... WEIRD

Anyways, it was math class when it all happened.

"Did you hear that?" I asked the girl next to me (I kinda forgot her name)

"Hear what?" she replied all confused.

"What do you mean?! Didn't you hear a huge bang outside school just a few seconds ago???"

"Uhhh, I seriously don't know what you're talking about, Emily."

"What?"

"I think you're going cuckoo again, no offense."

SHE THIKS IM CUCKOO?! Anyways, I realized that this girl wasn't really helpful.

But before I was about to utter another word, Mrs. Beth started yelling, "WHY ARE YOU TALKING, EMILY?! Please go to the principals office."

Well, that made me realize that maybe I was the only one who ACTUALLY heard the bang.

I left the classroom and was approaching the principal's office. But then I heard Lauren's voice.

"Emily!" he yelled.

"What? Lauren, what are you doing here?"

"I was kinda worried about you when I saw your face when you were talking to Lisa. You seemed pretty surprised about something. Do you wanna talk about it?"

"Alright, first of all, that's kinda creepy. You were staring at me?"

"N-no. I-I mean yes, sorry about that..."

"Second of all, it's pretty sweet of you to actually want to talk to me and be worried about me."

He started blushing.

"Anyways, of course." I added.

"Of course what?" he asked confused.

"Ahaha, I meant of course, I'd like to talk about it." I laughed.

But just when I was about to utter another word, Lauren pulled me to the corner of the hallway.

"W-what did you do that for?"

"Look! The principal is walking in the hallway! If he finds us two talking here instead of being in class, he'd kill us!!" he whispered loudly.

"You're right. Follow me, I know how to escape without getting caught."

We both hid in the janitor's closet for a while.

"Okay, now we're safe. What were you going to say?" he asked nervously.

"Oh, right. Did you hear a huge bang in school?"

"I think I did. But I was pretty confused about it because I don't think anybody else heard it."

"Finally! Someone who understands!"

But when I was saying that, I noticed that Lauren wasn't really listening to me. He was distracted by the really shiny light that was coming from the other half of the closet.

Note: In case if you didn't know, our school's janitor closet isn't that small. It's pretty big.

"Alright, let's go."

we both opened the door and - You won't believe it! It was a damn portal!!!

"Is that...a portal?" Lauren asked in a perplexed tone.

"I think so too." I blurted.

"What is a dumb portal doing inside the Janitor's closet?" I added.

"I was thinking the same, Emily."

"Shall we....?"

"Shall we what?"

"Uhhh...nothing. Forget about it."

He stared at me for a while and then, he blurted, "Shall we go and see what's at the end of the portal?"

"OMG! I thought you'd never ask! Let's go!"

We both went inside the portal and it took about 36 seconds to reach the end.

"This doesn't look like Heusafro." I said in a perplexed tone.

"Agreed. Where are we?" he asked while scratching his chin.

"Hmm...they don't look like people either." he added

"They? Who?"

He took my hand and pointed upwards.

"T-they fly with brooms?!"

"I think they're witches."

"WHAT DO WE DO NOW?"
