Alright, I'm back.
"WHAT DO WE DO NOW??"
"I have no idea."
We both stared at each other nervously for a second. And then Lauren blurted, "I know! Let's look for a person-"
"You mean witch, right?" I interrupted.
"Oh, yeah. Let's look for a witch our age. Maybe he/she will help us."
"That's a brilliant idea, Lauren!"
"Thanks."
"Where do we search?"
"Witch school?"
We searched and searched but there was nobody our age. Just when I was about to give up, Lauren came running towards me with a girl.
"Emily! Emily! I think I found someone who can help us!" he whooped.
"Really?" I asked with a relief.
"Hi, I'm Jessica Grace. Lauren told me that you are a spe-"
"Uhhh what Jessica meant to say was that you seem pretty exhausted." he said pinching her and laughing nervously.
Kinda made me confused, to be honest. What could he be hiding from me?
"Oh...right! Anyways, I can totally help you guys. Welcome to Wafeld, the land of witches and dwarfs!" Jessica added.
"W-wafeld?"
"Yes, Wafeld. Would you guys like to sit and talk for a while?"
"Uhhh actually.." Lauren blurted.
"We would love to talk!"
"Lauren, come on! This is our chance to escape reality! Let's stay for a while." I whispered.
"Alright." he hesitated but agreed.
She took us to a beautifully strange-looking garden.
"This is my garden. I usually study here because I feels a lot better."
"Woah."
" Some notable parts of history here are the Guidehall and the honest merchant. The Guildhall is a grand half-timbered building, once an inn house. It contains a large meeting hall and several smaller rooms, and is shared amongst several local merchant guilds. The Honest Merchant is the shop of a female dwarf weapon merchant named Kamin, within which a magical spell prevents lies and falsehoods from being spoken."
"Cool!"
And then, she started talking about the history and origin of the witchland, Wefeld. It was pretty cool, to be honest.
But then suddenly, Lauren looked at his watch and TOTALLY freaked out.
"It's 12:00 already?! I almost forgot that we were supposed to be at school! Oh no!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.
"Oh no, we are SO in trouble! It was nice meeting you Jessica. But I'm afraid we have to go now." Lauren added.
"It was a pleasure meeting you two as well! Here, take this. It's a message giver. We can keep in touch with this." Jessica smiled and replied.
We both took the bracelet and Jessica showed us the way to the portal.
We gave her a big hug. Then, Lauren and I held hands and entered the portal.
This time, it took 50 seconds to reach the other end.
Lauren looked at his watch again. It was 12:30!
We were pretty relieved. It was lunch time.
"Do you wanna sit next to me, Lauren?" I asked him like a total dork.
"Sure." he smiled and replied.
The rest of the day went pretty much the same. It turned out, nobody actually knew that we were hiding in the janitor's closet the whole time.
