"Grabe Mavy, you live here?" I asked as soon as I enter her two-story penthouse.
I mean, this is so spacious for her. Alam ko naman kung gaano siya kasanay noon na maiwan mag-isa doon sa mansion nila pero hanggang ngayon pa rin ba? The feels here are so empty with the thought of Mavy living here alone.
Kaya ba pumayag siya na dito na lang ako tumira?
"Mom and Dad bought this penthouse as soon as I was appointed to be the CEO of our company, mas malapit 'to sa company tsaka this place feels home too," she said at agad na humilata sa isang side nung malaking u-shaped sofa niya. Sa gitna nung sofa niya ay merong gray fluffy carpet.
Naupo ako sa other side ng sofa na nakaharap sa kanya habang tumitingin pa rin sa paligid. The interiors are really great, the colors I could only see are shades of brown, gray, and white.
Even from the placements of the furniture and everything, I could really tell that Mavy really is an interior designer.
"Home?" kunot-noo kong tanong sa kanya nang matapos kong pagmasdan ang mga unit niya. "The interiors are great, it is definitely a place you will look forward to whenever you go home but you being here alone? That's not home Mavy." I shook my head.
"Who says I'm alone?" She laughed.
My eyes widened. Don't tell me she's already in a relationship or something?
"What?"
Hindi nakasagot si Mavy sa tanong ko nang dumating iyong driver niya para ipasok yung mga luggage ko. Nagulat rin ako nang makita kong kasunod nun si Jolo at Cess. Both were wearing their uniforms.
"Doktora!" Tawag sa'kin ni Jolo at agad akong niyakap.
"Engineer Castañeda," I said as I hug him back.
Saglit lang yun at si Cess naman ang yumakap sa akin.
"Welcome back." Cess hugged me as tight as she could before she pulled away.
Tinulungan muna nila ako sa luggage ko bago kami bumalik sa living room. Nakaupo si Jolo sa carpet, si Cess nakahalita sa isang side ng sofa, habang si Mavy naka-indian sit at nakasandal naman ako sa balikat niya.
We all looked tired.
"Kakarating mo lang?" Tanong ni Jolo, nakatingin sa'kin.
"Kani-kanina lang," sagot ko. "Kayo? Hindi ko naman kayo sinabihan na uuwi ako ah. I should be surprising the both of you," kunot-noo kong sinabi.
I felt Mavy shaking kaya napatingin ako sa kanya. She is laughing! Tapos tumawa na rin sila Cess at Jolo.
Ano bang nakakatawa sa sinabi ko?
"Apparently, this is our home," Jolo said while quoting the word home with his two hands.
"Ano!? Are you and Mavy... o pwede rin namang si Cess?" Turo ko kay Mavy at Cess, umayos na rin ako nang upo para makita ko silang tatlo ng maayos.
