"I want to have that Demi," he blurted out. I look at him who's eyes were on the road. "A family I own."
He didn't glance at me. His eyes were so focused on the road and I couldn't help but think through what he just said.
All along the ride, wala akong ibang inisip kundi yung sinabi niya at si Arren.
He wants a family.
Something he already has.
"You should take a nap, may duty ka na ulit pagdating natin ng hospital," he reminded me.
Nagkatinginan kami saglit until he reached for my hand and held it. I felt him planting a kiss on my knuckles and that's the last thing that I remember before I dozed off to sleep.
Nang magising ako, saktong kaka-park lang ni Zecky sa parking lot. Agad siyang bumaba at pinagbuksan niya ako ng pinto para makababa pero hindi ako bumaba.
Instead, umupo ako paharap sa kanya and I stayed there, facing him.
He then went closer to me until his finally in between my legs.
"Are you okay?" I asked, caressing his face. Ang taas ng jeep niya pero nakatingala pa rin ako sa kanya ng slight.
Ang daya naman ng height nito.
"Of course." He nodded. "Nandito ka e."
I smiled at agad kong itinulak ang mukha niya gamit ang palad ko.
"What?" he laughed.
"Parang kanina lang wala ka sa mood, tapos ngayon ang yabang mo nanaman," I said.
"I'm just telling the truth."
"Really?"
He then kissed the top of my head before saying, "Really."
Bumaba na ako sa sasakyan niya matapos yun and then suddenly, my phone vibrated.
Dr. Fate: Asan ka? Hanap ka na ni Vidal.
Bahagya akong natawa sa pagtawag ni Fate kay Dr. Vidal. Walang modo talaga si Fate pagdating dun.
"Sino yan?" Zecky asked.
"Ah, si Fate," sagot ko habang nagre-reply. "Hinahanap na raw ako sa hospital."
"So ano? See you later?" he asked.
"Later?" I looked at him.
"Dinner, magdadala ako," he said.
"Okay." I nodded at him.
Pasakay na sana siya sa jeep niya nang tawagin ko ulit siya dahil may naalala ako bigla.
"I have a lot of things that I can't wait to tell you soon Zecky," I said.
