"So, what do you want to clarify Dr. Yelich?" He crosses his arms as he faces me. Leaning onto his jeep wrangler sideways.
Tumagilid din ako para magkaharap na kami.
"Stop being playful Zechario Lewis," I smirked. "If you really want me to believe you."
"Come with me." He offered his hand.
I look at his hand before I frowned at him.
"To where? You know I can't go too far, I have a duty in a few hours." I glanced at him.
"Diner," sagot niya.
"Bukas pa kayo?"
"Kumain ka na ba?"
Hindi agad ako nakasagot and he took it as a sign na hilahin niya ako at isakay sa sasakyan niya.
"Hindi mo sinagot yung tanong ko," I said as soon as I settled on my seat.
"Hindi mo rin sinagot yung tanong ko," he said while starting the engine. "Quits lang." He took a glance at me before he drove on the way to his diner and as we reached it, I saw that it's still close.
"It's close," I stated the obvious. Nakababa na siya sa sasakyan niya at agad siyang umikot para tulungan akong bumaba.
"And basically, I'm the owner."
He showed me his keys and went straight to the entrance of his diner, agad niya yun binuksan at pinauna niya akong papasukin.
I heard him locked the door behind us.
His windows and glass wall were covered with blinds kaya hindi kita kung may tao sa loob.
Nakasunod lang ako sa kanya hanggang sa umabot kami sa kitchen.
"You might need to change that white coat of yours with this." He handed me a white apron and I reached for it.
Agad kong hinubad yung white coat ko at isinabit yun sa hook na nasa dingding sa labas nung kitchen, leaving me with my usual high-waisted black slacks and my pastel pink short sleeve blouse which I covered again with the apron Zecky handed me.
"Hey," I called him. "Can you... tie this for me?" I asked while holding the ties of my apron.
He didn't answer, he just went behind me and got the ties from my hand.
Until I felt his weight on me, his chin was on my shoulder, and I then realized that he's hugging me from behind.
"I missed you," he whispered.
I gulped and held his arms around my waist.
"O-Okay," I answered because I don't know if I should answer him back.
I'm not even sure of what would I answer.
Agad siyang kumawala sa yakap niya sa'kin, kaya humarap ako sa kanya.
