After a long evening of dancing, eating and greeting some Celestivians; it was time to bring back light. I was nervous but not as nervous as when the ceremony had first started. Apparetnly, the kingdom had a heart, it was what would keep the crops growing and life flourishing. Since the eternal flame was extinguished by Аутсайдера, the heart froze over, making Celestivia a winter wasteland. The heart of the kingdom was a blue crystal heart:
It was located in the magical fountain in the middle of the town. The water had a spell casted on it so any unwanted people tried to steal the heart, the water would recognize and protect the heart. The sun began to sink into the horizon and the people got more giddy due to excitement and because of the alcohol they drank that evening. I too was excited but I had a gut feeling that something bad was going to happen. The people cleared a path for Soren and I so we could walk towards the fountain, my palms were getting sweaty and clammy. When we got to the fountain, it was a simple circular fountain, a little glass shoot in the middle where the water would spray. In the shoot, there was the Blue crystal heat but the fountain was frozen, caging Celestivia's heart. Soren smiled at me, "work your magic Harps."
I took a deep breathe and climbed onto the icy fountain. I big bright flame ignited in my palm and I took one at the excited face and then I slammed my palm into the hard ice. It cracked a bit but the fire began to melt the ice. Golden light seared from my hand all around me, my eyes widened and I looked up to my friends but they were enjoying the show. The king caught my eye and he just nodded encouragingly towards me, I closed my eyes and concentrated on defrosting the heart. Soon I felt my feet submerged in cool water up to my ankles, I opened my eyes and saw the heart was just beginning to thaw. I concentrated harder and then I felt it. It felt the temperature raise and the air getting warm; it was working! Soon I noticed that golden lines were running from the heart to different parts of the kingdom, spreading outwards. The warmth was running through the veins of the city to the rest of the kingdom. When all was done, I stepped out of the fountain to see it spraying water again and I smiled in triumph.
The people began to take off their coats and winter hats while smiling wide. "Finally! Warmth at last! this was slowly killing me." Angie let out an exasperated breathe of relief. "yeah but it is still quite chilly." I say rubbing my palms together. Nick blushed and took off his coat, "here put this on, it'll keep you warm." I smiled my thanks and slipped it on. Suddenly, there was a scream in the crowds. I spun around as Nickolas' guard yelled "защита формирования" A bunch of guards surrounded Soren, Angie, Nickolas and I with their swords unsheathed. Soon enough, We were surround by men with black cloaks and white masks. One person however, was wearing a white cloak with golden seams and white, gold soled boots. The king's voice boomed over all the chaotic screams, "Who are you and what are you doing over here?" The white cloaked figure stepped out and dropped his hood...well her hood. Gasps and whispers erupted from the on lookers, "Gabriella?" Nick whispered. She let out a humorless laugh, "Yes. I hope we aren't to late for the ceremony."
Soren glared at her, "They weren't invited." Gabriella rolled her eyes, "well I was invited and they are with me." Angie scoffed, "Yeah right. What do you want?" Gabriella smiled evilly, "I want Harper Gold." Then she let out a loud whistle and her men that were surrounding us began to fight our guards. The king drew his sword and stood, ready to fight; he glanced at Nickolas, "Nickolas! Take Harper and Angie into the castle saferoom now, use the catacombs if you have to escape.Будь осторожен." Nick gave his father a curt nod, grabbed my wrist and ran; I had grabbed Angie's hand and the three of us were running through the streets, dashing in-between alleys. When we got to the castle, guards were hustling and bustling about. I caught sight of Nickolas's personal guard and pointed at him, Nick shouted his name "Isaac!" When the young guard saw us, a flash of relief past over his face before he made his way over to us. He frowned at us, "Nickolas! Word has spread that the Посторонних are here, is it true?" "if it weren't true then we wouldn't be standing here all sweaty now would we?" Angie retorted angrily. Isaac gulped, 'w-well c-come with me to the safe room." I nodded and we ran for our lives through hallways and down staircases. finally, we arrived at a stone door that was embedded in the floor; Isaac and Nickolas yanked open the heavy door and gestured for us to go in first. Angie made her way first saying that she should try in to see if it was safe. Soon she hollered that it was okay and I quickly but carefully ran down the old, cold stone steps. Then Nickolas and Isaac made their way down into the room.
I lit a small flame in my hand and used it to see inside of the room, it was a circular room with a door of the side; labelled catacombs. Isaac took an old piece of wood that was on the side and lit it from my flame, making a torch. "we should be safe here. If anything, I will open the safe door; not any of you. If in emergency, get the map of the catacombs and run into the forest of go to The Northern sub-kingdom, Queen Cabella should be able to help you and send help at the same time." Angie sighed and pulled Isaac off to a corner where they talked quiet enough for only them to hear. I turned to Nick to see worry and anger in his eyes. I put my hand on his shoulder, "Are you okay?" He nodded, "Just worried about father, he never had much experience with fighting." I smiled at him sadly and hugged him, "Do not worry Nickolas. Everything will be fine, your father is a strong king; he'll make it." He nodded and sat on the floor, leaning his back on the wall with his eyes closed.
Suddenly, a loud banging erupted from the door above and a gruff voice shouted, "You have three seconds to show yourselves! If you don't we will come down there and get you!" My eyes darted toward Isaac and he furrowed his eyebrows together, then he whisper-yelled to us, "Let's go!" He grabbed some paper off a table in the room along with a knife and another sword. he gave Nick the extra sword and Angie the knife, I cleared my throat and gave the two a knowing look. Isaac blushed, "u-uhh, I-I knid of thought that you could use you powers to protect yourself." I laughed, "That's fine. You two look like a cute couple though." Angie's face turned crimson in the dim light of the torch, "Not the time lets go!" We then ran through the catacombs, following Isaac who was following the map. This was not how I expected everything to go, this not how I wanted everything to go. I should have been more cautious with Gabriella's threat and now look where that got me.
