"Somehow, this doesn't feel right," alter Iskall said. He reached into his pocket. "Hey! Where are my... What" He shook his head trying to figure out what the hell was going on. "Let me out!" Iskall shouted at his alter ego, whose eyes changed back to red. "Stay down," alter Iskall growled.
"That seems like fun," Tango commented from his throne. He had created flames that floated around him for light, but now they made him look both evil and angelic. Wrapping his devil tail around him, he leaned back rubbing his horns, trying to think of a way to get rid of Iskall. It felt like they were fighting for hours.
Still growling, alter Iskall got to his feet and bowed to Tango. "Let the war rage on..." he barely muttered.

Silence ensued.
"Me?!" Grian cried, incredulous. "How am I any different from the other leaders in this war?"
"Because we know you, Grian. You want to stop this war to save lives, not just to win," Bdubs said, gently.
"Well, I hope you have a plan, then."
"Ye-es," Xisuma said hesitantly. "You have to control us. We think that's what the other leaders did to everyone who was kidnapped."
"Like possess you? How?" Grian asked. "Speaking of which, how did you guys find out?"
"Mind-reading can be useful," Doc muttered from the corner. Grian almost forgot that he was here. But that explains why he doesn't like this war and Grian; he doesn't want to be controlled by anyone.
Grian shook out his wings. "I don't want to have to control my friends." At this Doc looked a bit surprised, as though he thought Grian was actually evil.
"You have to. You need your army," X cut in.
"Your possessive power will come naturally, don't worry," Bdubs laughed. "Oof, that came out wrong."
Taking a deep breath, Grian agreed. "When should I start?"
"Preferably now," X said.
"It's okay if you don't want to be controlled," Grian offered, looking at Doc. "But it'd mean you could be controlled by someone else."
"No, do it," Doc said, after hesitating a minute.
"Stand together," Grian ordered, but his voice was all wrong. And his eyes glowed...
He didn't know how he did it, but Grian drew a circle around the three, mumbling and carving runes. His friends lowered to the ground and started shaking, uncontrollably. At the last moment, Doc shouted out. "Grian! Wha-"
"Don't fight it," he commanded. "And from now on you call me Skyfall."

Mumbo didn't know what to do now. He was just a soul, with his alter ego controlling his body. He had nothing to do. But all of the chaos going on did give him time to think about the war and such. But right now all he thought about was how he couldn't say goodbye to anyone. Sure, his alternate soul came to check on him every now and then, but only to make sure he didn't die.
"Bodies can't live without both souls," his alternate explained. But Mumbo got the feeling that the other soul could feel his feelings. "I'm sorry," he said. "I can ask Lady Terra if you could come out, if you want."
"Please," Mumbo replied, glancing at his counterpart who started fading away.
A couple minutes later, the other soul returned shaking its head. "She doesn't trust you. I am sorry."
Mumbo turned away, tucking in his knees, and looking at the surrounding blackness, that threatened to diminish his last thread of hope.
And I'll never tell Grian...

Grian gasped for air, trying to sit up. Lord Skyfall was gone and sitting in front of him were three very confused looking hermits.
"Did it work?" Bdubs asked. "I don't feel very possessed."
Xisuma was staring at the ground, silent, so it was Doc who caught on first.
"That's because we're only our other sides when Grian is Skyfall, right?"
Grian nodded.
"This isn't safe," X finally murmured.
"Why?" Bdubs asked, cocking his head to the side.
"Because my alter ego is Evil Xisuma."
"It's fine, X. He can't do anything while I control him," Grian explained, hoping that that was the case.
"Mhm," X agreed, hesitantly.
"I'm gonna go home," Grian said, realizing how tired he really was.
"I'll come with you," Doc offered. Grian was under the impression that Doc was acting nicer, knowing what Grian could do now.
As they reached to the edge of the jungle, Grian started to notice something. "Hey Doc?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you like X?" he asked.
Doc stopped walking, frowning. "No, why do you ask?"
Grian shrugged. "I just see you two looking at each other sometimes."
"No, I don't," Doc sighed. "We just talk to each other sometimes."
"Oh."
They walked the rest of the way to Grian's hobbit hole in silence, until Grian spoke. "Why'd you offer to walk me home?"
Doc shrugged. "I'll see you tomorrow, G." Then he equipped his elytra again and flew off to his base, leaving behind a confused Grian, wondering what Doc was hiding from him.

The next day, Grian woke up feeling colder than normal. Sitting up and looking around, he put on his signature red sweater and went to go get food. Until he saw someone already sitting there, reading the Hermiton Herald.
"Good morning, Grian," the person said, turning around. "I have an offer you can't resist."
Woop! Sorry that took so long but 915 words later here we are!
