Chapter 13: Tick-Tock

Kai smashed into the shield and bounced back, just then Sensei Wu came onto the deck.

"What do you mean you don't know?" Kai said slowly standing up again.

"But Zane said..." Cole was cut off.

"What I know has nothing to do with her location." Sealia collapsed the shield and Lloyd finally squirmed his way out of the ice ninja's grasp, attaching himself to Seal's leg.

Wu stroked his beard and looked off in the distance, "I fear Nya has found her way into the den of all snakes. There may be no way to rescue her now."

"Don't say that! We don't know..." Kai pounded his fist on the railing, he was scared to lose his sister a second time.

"Sealia," Lloyd sniffed and she bent down him. Lloyd looked worried and Seal pat his head.

"It's okay Lloyd the two hardly dented me... Besides I'll take more than the King of Idiots to stop me." Sealia pick up Lloyd walking away with him to their room.

Zane took a step to follow but Jay grabbed his shoulder and shook his head. "She dangerous, you saw how quickly she turned to me ready to attack. I wouldn't bother her till she cools down."

Seal had put Lloyd in his bed. Lloyd wouldn't stop worrying about Seal no matter what she said.

"Lloyd I'm fine really, it's been a long day get some sleep."

Yes, Seal wasn't hurt but she did feel a little drained. It had been a long time since she used the shield and it takes a lot of energy, even in a short burst.

Right now though, she needed to stay strong Lloyd needed her. She began to sing a tune she never remembered or knew.

Cruel and cold like winds on the seas

Lloyd's soft snores interrupted her and she smiled.

Seal decided to leave it there. As she got up she looked at her hands noticing they were red. Seal growled under her breath and ran to the nearest bathroom to wash her hand off.

When she looked in the mirror her eyes flickered to black. 'Shit if Kai sees my eyes like this again he'll know who I am and work for!' Seal thought troubled.

Unknowingly she bumped into Zane in the hallway. Zane had followed her, noticing her haste. "Is something wrong?"

Sealia jumped not hearing his footsteps because of the water. She sighed quickly, "For a moment I thought you were Kai...not like he cares anyway." She shook her head getting rid of the thoughts.
