"Can I drive?" I asked Kade as soon as I got into his Ford and he gave me a horrifying look which made me laugh. Quite a lot.

"Hey! You're kind of insulting me." I pretend as if I'm hurt but I surely know why he's throwing me that look.

He started the engine and soon, we're driving away from our main gate. "I'm sorry, I won't let you. You're too pretty to drive a car. Just sit back because I'll do all the work today." Pinasadahan niya pa ng tingin ang kabuuan ko bago ulit nagfocus sa daan.

Napangiti ako. He's spoiling me as early as now.

"Are you excited? I went there with the guys two days ago and I asked Aldrich if you've visited the range recently... Pero ang sabi niya, once ka lang daw nagpunta? Nung first meeting natin?"

"Yea. I kind of forgot about the range because of too much work in the office. And I haven't seen you so... I don't have the energy to go back. But today... Today's gonna be fun because you're with me so I'm really looking forward to it." He reached for my hand, took it and kissed the back of it. I wasn't able to hide how I gasped with that single gesture because of how it makes me feel; how he makes me feel. He obviously saw my reaction but he just grinned and he kissed it again before intertwining our fingers. Napangiti na lang ako. The feeling is just... So good I don't even know how to describe it.

But as we went along the way, his smile changed into frown. He keeps on looking at the side view mirror while our speed is getting faster.

"Is everything okay?"

"No. I don't think so." Lumingon siya sa likod; kaya sinundan ko ang tingin niya. Merong puting sasakyan na nakasunod sa amin at kaunti lang ang distansya kahit na ang luwag naman ng high way.

"Are they chasing us?" But Kade didn't answer me.

Who are they? And why are they following us?

"Hang in there, Babe. Medyo bibilis tayo."

"Let me drive. Who are those people? Do you know them?"

He shakes his head as an answer but keeps on driving, trying to put some distance from the white Toyota which is determined to get on us.

"Kade! If you don't want them to get us, let me drive."

He gave me a serious look and hesitation was written all over his face. I saw how he gritted his teeth before telling me "Yea, probably you should do it." And we exchanged seats while we're moving. I grabbed the steering wheel and he moved out of the driver's seat, letting me in before he positioned himself in the passenger's seat.

"That's one swift move, Babe." He commented and that makes me smirk.

"You hang in there now because we really have to go fast or else, they'll catch up real quick."

"We have to get rid of them."

Mas binilisan ko na ang pagmamaneho at kitang kita ko kung gaano kahigpit ang kapit ni Kade sa arm rest kahit pa may suot naman siyang seat belt. Gusto kong matawa sa reaksyon niya pero hindi ko gagawin dahil walang nakakatawa sa sitwasyon namin.

"Kade... Wala ka ba talagang idea kung sino sila? Bakit may mga humahabol sa 'tin?" I stepped in the accelerator to make us faster and it creates a little distance from them. Their driver is damn good, huh!

But I got no answer.

"Are they after me? Do you think it's Daniel?" Wala na akong ibang maisip dahil siya lang naman ang nakaalitan ko.
