Chapter 49

    LEAS P.O.V.

   If only things were as easy as they seem.

    It's been two days since Alejandro has been kidnapped but it seems like a week, because of the things that have happened.

    The first important thing was that Kiernan woke up pretty soon after the surgery. I didn't want to put pressure on her, but i still decided to ask what happened that night, and turns out my theories were real - she was riding the car very fast to take Alejandro to the hospital as he was bleeding. She didn't notice how a big black jeep was following her behind until the car started pushing her from the behind and she ended up crashing into the tree. She said she instantly lost her mind and doesn't remember anything else until now. I decided to take her in my house because she needed alot of rest, and i think my house is the safest place now, since i hired so many security guards besides the gang guys.

     That entire day, i spent sitting down with Carlo and listening to Sams microphone recording random conversations. I was kind of scared that they'd suspect anything but Sam said everything's going as usual. he still has no information about Alejandro and he knows that if he'll ask, it'll be very suspicious, so we're waiting for Samuel to mention anything.

   I was very exausted when i got back home, and it was suprising to me that Mattia was already home, in bed, watching TV and being so calm that it was scary. Ofcouse i didn't point it out, instead i just joined him and he asked me if there were any news and i fell asleep fast after talking to him.

    The next morning i felt even more awful. I couldn't find a place, i was just paranoid and nausea started hitting again. I knew i was stressing out, because i was very worried about Alejandro. But what was pissing me off was that Mattia wasn't helping me at all. He was out all day, i had no idea where he was and the worst part was that it seemed like he wasn't worried about Alejandro at all.

   In the afternoon, i met Naomi, she asked me out on a cup of tea and we had some things to discuss about the charity foundation of ours.
  
     "Hey, is anything wrong?" She asked me after i zoned out for the fifth time today. To be honest, i wasn't listening to anything she was saying.

    "No, I'm fine" i said, and gave her a convincing smile but she wasn't someone that you could easily lie to.

    "No, you're not. Have you been sleeping well? You look kind of burned out" she said and looked at my face closer with her big, green eyes which had long, dark and thick eyelashes.  Well, even tho i looked like shit, she was like an angel above me.

    "Honestly, i am burned out" i said and let out a deep breath.

    "If you want to talk, im here to listen, but if you don't want to, i get that as well" she said, taking the cup and sipping the tea. I was sure she'd listen, but i couldn't tell her the real issue.

    "The last few days have been a mess. I'm sick, it's just nausea but it usually starts when i stress out. Mattia thought that i was pregnant and the way he talked about it made me feel awful. I feel like he wants to go even more serious but it hasn't even been a full month since we started dating." I said.

    "Is he rushing you?"

    "No, no, not at all. He's actually very supportive and caring, but i can tell how he wanted me to be pregnant. Even i don't imagine myself carrying a baby for anyone, not even Mattia." I said and looked down.

    "Listen, you don't have to worry about things so much. Your problem is that you think too much, and you let your own thoughts stress you out. You know what you should do? When something is bugging you, you can talk to him about it, instead of overthinking his actions. It's not a crime to ask him why he acted the way he did, and you can also discuss what you want in the future. You either date to get married or get your heart broken. There's no inbetween. Especially for someone like you." Naomi said and her words were making alot of sense. I didn't have to think that Mattia doesn't care about Ale.
    
   Maybe Mattia is trying to keep calm because he doesn't want to lose his control and do something he'll regret later? He had a bad temper, but he has been controling it since we're dating and questioning everything he does is making me look like a crazy girlfriend.
