*Kuza's POV*

"Kuza? Come on buddy it's been two days. Talk to me."

Ashcky was in my room yet again, trying to get me to speak. He's been coming in every so often.

Annifer, however, hasn't left my side once. She nearly eradicated Jalex for coming in here hoping to fuck last night.

I shook my head, turning away to gaze into the wall like I had been doing most of the time.

"He isn't going to talk." Annifer sighed, tracing circles over my abdomen, "I've been trying and he won't."

"Think your dad can make him talk?" Ashcky asked her. I flinched unintentionally, knowing if he ordered me to I definitely would.

"That's a yes." Annifer said slowly, studying me, "But I'm not going to force it out of him. That's not right."

I reached over and gave her hand a squeeze. "You're welcome." she smiled down at me.

I turned away again, refocusing on Celeste. What if she has lost her grace? Is she somewhere alone?

Is she even safe?

She could be somewhere on Earth in danger and I'm not there to save her. If she got hurt because I couldn't protect her, I'd never forgive myself.

But what if she didn't lose her grace? Would she still even want to be with me? Am I prepared to give up Hell for a Mortal?

What if she doesn't even show up tonight?

I sat up and tapped on Ashcky's shoulder to get his attention. "Sup man?" he asked, clearly confused and surprised.

I pointed at him, and then the door. "You want me to leave?" he frowned. I smirked in response as I slipped my hand between Annifer's thighs.

She gasped quietly, and Ashcky laughed. "Alright man I gotcha. Don't be late tonight."

As soon as he walked out the door, I shoved Annifer onto her back and pressed my lips to her roughly.

When we were done, it was 7:55. "Shit, I gotta go!" I exclaimed, jumping out of bed and waving a hand over myself.

Instantly, I was wearing a white dress shirt, black pants, and black suspenders, with my hair slicked back.

Can't blame a guy for wanting to look nice.

"I get no cuddles then?" Annifer frowned, sitting up. "Not today." I sighed, reaching out to her and smoothing her hair.

She got a pouty look, her gaze dropping to the floor. "Baby I'll be late if we cuddle." I reminded her, "And I can't be late."

She hesitated before nodding slowly. "You go do what you gotta." she muttered. "Thank you for understanding." I smiled, "I love you."

My hand flew over my mouth the second the words left my mouth, and her head snapped up to look at me.

"You, you love me?" Annifer gasped, tears rimming her eyes. I bit my lip, studying her before answering, "I think so..."

She got a sad smile on her face. "Well, go see if the Angel shows up. If she doesn't, I'm here."

I sighed, leaning over to kiss her before blinking to Janxx and Jinxxley's house. They were watching TV, and Celeste was nowhere to be seen.

*Celeste's POV*

"I'm so happy you're still here.." Charvelle murmured, nuzzling her face into my neck as our bare bodies pressed together.
