New York flashback:

"So all of our suspects have alibis. Great." Dixie complained.

"I'm still convinced it was the girlfriend." Kai thought out loud.

"Because it's 'always the lover'?" Dixie mocked.

"Usually it's always the wife."

"You watch way too many cop shows."

"I got nothing. Turns out the girl I was chasing really is in Michigan." Same said walking into the room.

They were all in the forensics room looking at crime scene photos and text messages to help them solve this case.

Shawn grabbed a remote like object and put Mary Singleton's Tinder page on the screen. It showed her wearing a mask similar to that one. She was taking a mirror picture and she held onto her Android in it. On a separate screen were the text messages between her and Shane.

It showed her trying to flirt as he accused her of being the one to follow him. Shane looked to the picture and text messages and began to think.

"She didn't do it. So who's left?" Sam asked.

"I think it's time we look for other potential suspects. People he worked with, neighbors, ex girlfriends." Dixie started to say as an example.

"Hold up." Shawn said as he inspected Mary's dating page a little longer.

They all turned their heads to him expecting him to continue talking.

"What kind of phone did Lydia Nelson have?" He asked.

"She has an Android. Why?" Dixie answered.

Shawn gasped loudly and dramatically. "I know who the killer is!"

"Who?" Kai asked the same time Dixie and Sam said, "Son of a bitch!"

"Everyone follow me!" Shawn said as he ran outside the room.

All their suspects, including more people, were currently at Shane's funeral at a church. Shawn got into his car and drove as the others followed him.

Getting to the church Shawn opened the door and ran into funeral without closing his door.

"Excuse me I would like to say a few words." Shawn said out of breath.

Peri was on the stand comforting a crying Lydia. Shawn got up to the stand and Peri and Lydia sat down.

Dixie, Kai, Sam and for some reason Captain Becker stepped into the church to watch Shawn.

"The murder of Shawn—Shane Gross, was a tragedy. And I know the backstabbing son of a biscuit that killed him." Shawn said dramatically.

"Oh my god." Dixie said under her breath.

"Did he really just say biscuit?" Kai chuckled.

"It's a church." Captain Becker said as Shawn continued.

"Peri Fletcher! You evil cockroach!" Shawn said pointing to him.

"What?!" Dixie, Kai, and Sam yelled. Everyone looked to them sit wide eyes and they sunk down in their chairs.

"That's crazy man. Shane was my best friend." Peri said as he wiped his forehead.

"It was the perfect plan. You had a crush on Lydia, Shane's girlfriend. Since Shane was such a model citizen, and your such a slob, she'd never leave him. So you strangled him! With your earphones! Seriously man pick up your apartment once and while. It feels like a toxic area that should be marked off." Shawn said still pointing.

"This is a church and a funeral. Remember that Shawn." Dixie said in between his words.

"Those could be anyone's." Peri said lowering his voice.

"No, they couldn't be. See that's where you messed up Peri. All of our other suspects have Androids. You were the only one with an IPhone. The only phone compatible to the murder weapon." Shawn finished.

"Damn." Dixie said.

"Go Shawn." Kai cheered.

"Peri, is this true?" Lydia asked from beside him.

Peri stuttered before getting up and trying to run away. Sam got up and stopped him short.

"Come on man have some respect for yourself." Sam said as he handcuffed him.

"You son of a biscuit!" Lydia said as she slapped Peri in the face.

"I shared a hug with you man!" Shawn whined.

"Okay we should go now, we're disturbing these grieving people." Dixie said, half hugging Shawn as she pulled him away from the church.

"That was an awesome solve. Good job man." Kai praised as he raised his fist.

"Really?" Shawn asked excitedly.

"Come on son." Kai said and Shawn grew even happier at his own words being repeated back to him.

Shawn eagerly fist bumped him. He was happy to grow a friend, and catch his killer. Shane! Shane's killer.

"So do we both lose? Since Shawn caught him and not us?" Dixie asked Kai.

"What are you talking about?" Shawn asked.

"We had this bet that if she caught the killer first, I'd have to be nice to Detective Dick for a day." Kai started.

"And if he won, he'd be able to take me on a date. He guaranteed I'd fall in love with him. But he didn't catch the killer and I'm not going to fall in love with him because he's an idiot." Dixie finished.

"So, what do I get? Since I solved my murder—Shane! Shane's murder!" Shawn asked.

"Well—"

"Too late I already chose! You both have to follow through with your losing bets." Shawn smiled as he clapped and jumped upside down.

"Well it wasn't really—" Dixie said going to protest.

"Nuuuupe. You have to. Both of you." Shawn interrupted. Then added quickly. "Please."

"It's only fair." Kai smiled.

Dixie groaned and rolled her eyes as Kai smiled smugly to her.

"Dixella Archer Daniels, will you go on the greatest date in history with me?" Kai smiled cheekily.

Shawn smiled to the two of them as Sam and Captain Becker looked to the group as if they were the stupidest people ever.

"You have to say yes."

She groaned again before muttering quietly. "Yes."
