The Fall of Mount Olympus

XV- Camp or Chaos?

It took me along time to write this chapter!! It's hard when you don't have likes or comments from the readers. But I managed to write this chapter. Just a heads up, two more chapters then the book is complete.

This isn't how she pictured the camp. Tables were thrown all over the place. Campers fighting each other for who knows what. Kaitlin ducked as a chair came hurdling towards her.

"Kaitlin!" She turned and saw Piper coming towards her. "What's happening?" Kaitlin asked. Piper stood up on a table and whistled. "Everyone stop! If you don't work together then no one will go on any quest!" She yelled.

Silence. Ever since the last attack on the camp, the Greeks started hating each other even more. If Kaitlin could've seen this coming then maybe then, would her mind change.

"Where do I stay?" She asked Piper. "Um... The Hades cabin." She said, her eyes fixed on something in the distance. Just then Jason came back with terrible news. "There's a cyclops waiting for us, outside the barrier." He broadcast it to the camp and everyone stopped fighting and listened.

All their eyes were on him. The only noise is their breathing. "He isn't alone." He added. They rushed to the barrier and on the outskirts was a few cyclopes.

"What the!" Kaitlin said. "Looks like our friends are back." Piper said, sarcasm in her voice. Her eyes steadily focused on the target. She turned and nodded towards Jason.

All the Greeks and Romans rallied together. They form one line along the barrier area. Jason led them through the battle. It wasn't just one more like forty.

"Jason!" Piper yelled after he was thrown across the field. Piper ran to where a dazed Jason was. "Kaitlin! Lead them!" Piper yelled.

"Everyone! The Cyclopes don't burn with fire! We need to work together!" She yelled. "Big numbers take longer to destroy!" She finished. Her purple eyes glimmered in the sun.

The campers got into big groups of forty or more and fought a cyclops between the groups. Kaitlin turned around and saw Piper and Jason rushing over.

"How?" She asked. "Ambrosia." Piper smiled. Behind Jason, Kaitlin saw a cyclops. She jumped into the air and drew her sword of death straight through the cyclops, slicing him in half.

"Kaitlin? What the heck!" Jason said, sounding surprised. Only one cyclops remained. "We can defeat it, if we work together! Cover each other's weaknesses." Kaitlin ordered.

The demigods, surrounded the cyclops, with their weapons drawn. "Charge!" Jason ordered. The demigods didn't hesitate. They see Jason and especially Kaitlin as their leaders.

With a huge swarm of campers surrounding their target, Piper, Jason and Kaitlin all joined the swarm and charged.
