Her first week at camp was a blast. Already she made heaps of friends. But Jason and Piper promised to stay by her side. "Tres, Buon." Piper replied. Since there are a few of them who can speak French, she didn't use it all the time.

"Kate!" Reyna called for Kaitlin to speak to her. "Have you had any news to report?" She asked. "Uhh, yeah. Since all the campers seem to enjoy each other maybe we should organise a trip to Mount Olympus, in Greece?" She asked.

"Good idea!" Reyna said. Smiling, she returned to Piper. "How does it feel to be the only one in your cabin?" Jason asked, his blue eyes shining in the brightly lit room.

"Lonely, but I actually enjoy it." She said, wrapping spaghetti around her fork. "I confess, at first I didn't know I would of have manage to fit in." Kaitlin said, after swallowing her spaghetti.

"I didn't know if you would've been nice or really mean. But I see now, that you are a nice and a natural leader." Piper said, taking a bite from her tofu burger.

"Really, you think I'm a natural leader! I-I was the one people gave orders to, not giving orders." She said. "What do you mean?" Jason asked.

Exhaling, she continued. "Since I moved to America from Italy, I had trouble making friends. Students and even teachers saw me as a weirdo." She exhaled again before continuing. "There was this bunch of girls, who always, everyday, at the same time picked on me. I got tired of the teasing that I lashed out and attacked Eliza, the leader of the group. Then I got suspended and nothing changed." She finished.

Piper was going to speak but Jason beat her to it. "That wasn't fair. Did they know about you being a half blood?" Kaitlin thought for a while then said. "They had a sneaky suspicion that I wasn't quite human."

"But, now you're a leader here at camp Olympus." Piper smiled. "Right!" She said, jumping up. People turned and looked at her. Kaitlin said sorry then sat down.

Piper suddenly got a pain in her left eye. She just shrugged it off, hoping it was nothing. But the pain became unbearable. "Excuse, me." She said before getting up to leave.

She made her way to the infirmary. "Hi, Piper. Everything okay?" Julien asked. "Um... It might be nothing but there is a... um... how do I describe this... this pain..." She paused then continued. "Like a needle going through my eye." She finally said.

Julien gestured for her to sit on the bed. Making herself comfortable, she prepared herself, for a scan on her eye.

Julien set up the equipment, he worked quickly. Being a son of Apollo he knew all this stuff and how the machines worked. "Okay, you're going to feel a slight tickle in your eye." Julien said, sitting down.

Piper rested her chin on the pillow. She stared at the green light. Her left eye started to feel all sticky. "Let me know if it starts to hurt. Like, it doesn't feel like a tickle." Julien said. "It hurts now." Piper said.

He turned the machine off. "What did the pain feel like?" Sighing, "It felt like my eye got all sticky." She said. "May I?" He asked. He flashed a light into her left eye. He faintly saw it. Switching the light off, he was thinking how he was going to break the news to her.

Turning the machine back on, she placed her head on the pillow. The machine scanned the source of the pain. "Piper. The pain in your eye is... there is a clamp of dust and dirt in your eye. It can be removed by crying. But it's likely that the dirt got there from the recent battle." Julien said.

Piper squeezed out a few tears. In those tears was the dust and dirt.

She got up to leave, "Thank You." She said. "Piper!" Jason called when he saw her enter the room. "Where were you?" He added. "The infirmary." She said. "Nothing serious. Just some dirt in my eye. If I cry it comes out." She added, smiling.

"I really enjoy having Kaitlin here." Jason started. His blue eyes sparkling. "It was a blast. I hope you think about coming back next year." Jason said. "Nothing can keep me away." Kaitlin said, a smile appeared on her face, her purple eyes sparkling.
